In treatment
Hello to any and all who may have been catching HBO new series "In treatment" I am absolutely hooked and have thought about joining in here ..from the get go.. as this highly creative and refreshing series gets underway. I believe the casting of
Gabriel Byrne was ideal for the part of our therapist and I have definite feelings about initial two patients ...(cannot stand Blair Underwoods character)..anyway...am eager to discuss this series and the last time I got this excited about a show was the debut of Showtimes"Dexter" but this one feels even keener...subject -matter-wise...I wish I had a therapist...i am definitely ready for another round!

I'm a psychologist and am amazed that people find this show so interesting. Just two people in a room sitting and talking. Scripts are very well written and Paul's and Gina's interpretations and insights are right on the money most of the time.

As an aside; has anybody else noticed the way they slip a dog barking into every episode? Even at Gina's home. Listen and you'll hear it every time. Must be some sort of in joke....
Hi all

Just thought I would chime in here. This character is so realistic. My therapist is exactly like Gabriel Bryne. It is uncanny. I watch the show and can't believe it. Just as sincere, just as intense! Just as sexy!!!
It's as though they patterned the show on him.
I too am specifically interested in Friday..more than the others.
I am a licensed psychotherapist and I have to tell you, this show is very well done. Gabriel Byrne is a great actor. I found the patients to be very real. I really thought that the Friday episode is the most interesting. I am wondering what will come out about the relationship between these two.
