Women
A lot is being made of the fact that win or lose Obama is breaking ground with his candidacy for president. We are to be congratulated apparently for allowing an African American to run for high office. Not much is being made of the fact that Clinton is also breaking new ground with her candidacy. Aren't we to be congratulated for allowing a woman to run for high office? Some men don't want to admit that they really prefer their women at home keeping the castle tidy. It would take a huge set of balls for a man to talk that stuff in this day and age. But, some of them are thinking it. Is it any more wrong to vote for someone because of his race than it is to vote against him because of his race? I think so. Some women on this board are fostering the belief that women shouldn't think about politics. They do this by posing stupid questions that could be answered quickly by using a search engine. They bat their eyes and ask in their little Betty Boop voices, "What does this mean?" Gag. As long as women like this continue to believe that they are the weaker sex in all things, we will never get to a point where the fact that a woman is running for the presidency isn't newsworthy.

zonecrash...What I'm saying is that some of the democrats hereabouts are hating on Hillary. I know they supported Bill. That is not to call them misogynists. It is to say that for some reason they are unable to support Obama without hating on Clinton. If Clinton and Edwards were the only two vying for the nomination, they would be loving her, I think.
In your reply to your own blog u say that the same people who are Hilliary haters supported bills presidency. That doesnt make any sense unless your feminist agenda says that bills supporters wont vote 4 hill because shes a woman.what are u trying to say here?
Imust first of all say that im a man and I would very much like to see hilliary as our next president.I do think that she has the best chance to beat the reps and isnt that the real question at this point.
It's been a long time since I had any notion that the media was engaging in unbiased reporting. Everyone has an agenda, including Maher. Everything that is broadcast is spun. Although you can tell a lot by a politician's voting record, it is not necessarily an accurate predictor of future behavior. I agree that Clinton is getting shafted in the press. A lot of Dems are becoming Clinton haters. These are the same folks who supported her husband's presidency. They don't seem able to appreciate two democrats (or 3) simultaneously. They need to hate someone. Very 7th grade, I think
It looks like Bill Maherr has joined the ranks of all of the other press puppets and is now bowing down to Obama. Why? I haven't quite figured it out yet. I think it might be that same person who owns HBO may own a couple of of the other networks And it is clear that some people is high positions don't want Hillary for president. Once again, the American people following along like sheep. What really blows me away is that it looks like Bill is the newest "herder". Hillary is a great women and is really getting the short end of the stick. The press continually rips her and her husband apart but they treats Obama with kid gloves. Nothing is ever mentioned about his families affiliation or his education outside of the US. The topic is off limits. If any questions are asked of Obama, the questioner in accused of being racist. I am very liberal Democrat and don't have a racist bone in my body. I feel all of the presidential candidates should be treated equally and they are not being treated equally by the press. Obama claims racism anytime a negative opinion or comment is expressed. The are plenty of negative comments to be expressed about Obama. The press doesn't have to look any further than the internet, his voting record or his so called experience to find them. Why aren't these questions being asked by the press? Intelligent, informed American are asking these question and like me, are wondering why the press isn't asking? Has everybody forgotten Shirley Chisolm? She ran for president in 1976, as the first woman and the first black person to run for president. She commented that she encountered many more closed doors because she was a women, than she ever did because she was black. Some of the young women of today, black and white alike don't have a clue what she went through, or even what Hillary or women my age have went through to get where we are today. The closed doors still exist and they are doors are being slammed in Hillary's face as the country sits by and blindly watches. What is up with Bill Maher? He knows better than this? I don't always agree with him but I have respected his integrity. When the press only covers half of a story, the press is no longer the press, just a paid publicity. I hope Bill doesn't let us down and shows both sides of Obama and Hillary in his next episode. That would be the real Bill Maher!
