Auditions, auditions, oh how I loathe thee!

Why is it that a girl like Alexis can get a part in a big production, when she can 't do anything more than a nails-on-a-chalkboard belt, whereas I can belt twice as better, and I'm told the classic "We'll call you" ?

And people just don't take me seriously! Is it law that you can't get a call back until you're 18?! I'm too old to be cute and too young to be a serious character.

And then there's the people who say I'm never going to get anywhere because there are "so many others" like me who are trying to break into Show Business. How many 15 year old girls do you know are more than proficient in opera?
