I agree Lucille, Don and Bornin have become true Wire board legends because of the Marathon Thread. I dare say, as you pointed out and I will take a step further, that their thread IS the best one on HBO hands down. Thoughtful, witty, detailed disscussion about a show that is so complex and compelling is not only a good read but just goes to show you how special The Wire is. Kudos to you Don for the longevity of the Marathon thread and I look forward to many more passionate debates... Wirefiend -- If it is not advantageous, do not move. If objectives cannot be attained, do not employ the army. Unless endangered do not engage in warfare. The ruler cannot mobilize the army out of personal anger....When it is advantageous, move; when not advantageous, stop. Anger can revert to happiness, annoyance can revert to joy, but a vanquished state cannot be revived, the dead cannot be brought back to life..... Sun-Tzu Art of War

I wanted to see what this guest book stuff was all about, and I couldn't think of a better poster to try it out on. The Don (with props to The Dempsey as well), has created one of THE best threads to ever grace these, (hell, maybe any) boards. A true Wire Board Legend!
