I love this show. But it does lack the suspense, drama and comedy of shows like Big Love, sex and the city, and True Blood. I'm afraid that HBO will not see the value of the show and cancel it because of ratings. What do you think?

I also hope for a second season. I think with her ex husband coming around there will be much drama and suspense. He does not seem to be a good guy at all. I think he has something to do with the new detective showing up in town. That guy freaks me out.

I so hope this makes a second season. This is what tv is for, entertainment. It is rare to find such a show that is so well written and does not need the usual naked people running around. I love the scenary as well. to know they filmed it in Botswana, it makes me want to go there. It looks so beautiful, it shows a different side of Africa that so many do not get to see.
My Jack Russell even watches it w/ me and appears to like the scenes of Botswana as well. I am so disappointed it only has 6 episodes for the first season. All of the cast is wonderful and have such a magik together it would be a shame to lose this gem.

To those of you out there in TV land. Please bring this back. My family and I watch every week. The acting is great. I see Emmy nod's for Jill Scott and Anika Noni Rose. Keep up the great work!!!!!

My family and I totally love this show, and I pray that it will make it to S02. Sex, profanity, etc. is pushed through our TV's 24/7. However, it's refreshing to get a break from it and be able to relax and enjoy the show with the entire family. It's time that HBO took a chance and showed something different.
The show has plenty of drama and suspense. The past few shows have really shaped the characters and with time we are getting more drama and suspense. And to me the supporting characters are hilarious.

I hope so! This is a great diverse show! I love it so...much. Jill Scott is just great and so are all the other actors! Hat's off to you HBO!

I think if you read the books you will see more depth than they are portraying. I am hoping for a 2nd season where the writers are truer to Alexander McCall Smith's novels and thereby add even more "heart" to the show.

I hope that the show makes it. It's a family show that you don't have to worry that the kids will hear horrible language or see folks being killed in horrific ways. I love the story lines & at the end of the show; each one is depicted by a little cartoon - nice touch. It's, a relaxing & entertaining show.

I certainly hope that this show makes it! It is a wonderful show the episodes are charming and well thought out. I love the setting of Botswana. Jill Scott, Anika Noni Rose and the rest of the cast is wonderful!! I find myself looking at the encores of each of the episodes more than once. I would be sorely disappointed if HBO doesn't renew this series. It is so refreshing to have a show that can entertain you without all the blood, gore, death & sex!!

I think we will see a season 2.
I was just at BBC site and they love are loving this show. Episode #4 is going to really good.

I'm trying, I really am trying to like this show. As the weeks go by I'm losing interest though. On one hand it is quirky and fun but on the other it is dull and simple. I was really looking forward to this series but I honestly can't see it making it to another season. It is only 7 episodes right?
