I am doing an extensive research project on the eleven Kaufering camps, including Kaufering IV, recreated in Part Nine: "Why We Fight." I have found a lot of information and photos and would love to hear from anyone who has personal stories, photos, or other information, to share in an online memorial. The memorial is dedicated to everyone who suffered at the camps. It also will honor those who liberated these camps. Please contact me through the website, if you have any information. I would love to hear from you. http://www.kaufering.com The website contains the supposed video of Kaufering IV (Hurlach) that was shown to Mr. Spielberg and became the inspiration for "Why We fight." If you compare actual photos from Camp IV with, "Why We Fight," you will see that a very good job was done recreating the camp. There is also a 20 minute video in the media section, of Camp IV, from the National archives.

Good luck to you and your endeavors. You really have taken on quite a challenge, but it is a worthy one. I will check out your website from time to time to see what's new. Unfortunately, you've posted to this board about 6 years too late. Only me and a couple other folks post to it, and that is only occasionally. The wonder and joy of such an epic mini-series, as BoB was, has waned.
