You're right--sorry, I'm wrong. They use the same term for sires that throw great kittens, too. I got confused. -- Ben: You never listen to me! Bill: Don't ever say that.

Are you sure about that? I think that is the way they use the term, and why they pay 10's of thousands of dollars for a bull that can throw a good calf. Cattle ranchers and dairy farmers are not feminists. You'll have to work on that. -- Edited by wurks4me at 08/16/2007 1:04 AM

It is course Animal Husbandry term for what the Bull does, "throwing calves". Slung was a Lois, JC twist on it.

That's what I took it to mean, since a calf is a baby animal. Kind of a funny new euphemism for getting knocked up! Morrighan -- These Eight words the Rede fulfill: "An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

What does "slung her a calf" mean... make her pregnant? I'm not joking, I really don't get it. But that's the best I could come up with. Is that what it means?

Polygamy twins are from two wives at the same time. Even triplets sometimes, several children in the same grade at school. English twins would be on from the wife and one from the mistress on close to the same day.

Yeah, I agree about hispanics. Here in Calif., of course, there have always been a lot of them, and I really admire them for their incredibly strong, vibrant, supportive family structure. Come hell or high-water, they stick together! We could learn a lot from them, but we'd have to learn, all over again, to be -far- less self-absorbed and self-important. As we used to be. (Actually, we could stand to learn much from many other cultures, as we did before we, as a culture, became so corrupt.) IMHO.

Maybe the numbering system are refering the their ages??? And about the Latino Twins - I live in a predominately Hispanic community and quite of few of my friends/family/associates have had "oops's" or two children in a 12 month period. 3 where their children were born one in January, one in December. and 2 others were they are exactly, to the day 9 months and 2 weeks apart (first was C-section in both cases)
