How will season two end? What will happen with Barb? What will Nicki do next? How will Margene respond to Pam?

Sorry to say, but that is what TPTB are saying is the date. They have begun pre-production but I do not know if they have begun filming yet. I am just glad that we have a confirmed date. It was dragging on so long that I was afraid they might not end up filming a third season at all. -- Well-behaved women rarely make history.......... Laurel Thatcher Ulrich

I thought the Greens were based on the LeBarons who were certainly creepy and homicidal (Under the Banner of Heaven). Thanks for the link Withay. Seems like there's an awful lot of S3 news out there lately...seems like HBO et al knows how frustrated we are!. Hopefully, some new shorts will be forthcoming.

Great link, withay! I particularly like this paragraph. The Hollis clan is based on an actual homicidal Mormon cult of the '70s; several of the sister-wives are still at large and wanted by the FBI. Also, according to Mark Olsen, they will tell the story of Hollis Green's freaky-deaky and seemingly transgender wife: "We'll find out who she is." "She." And she's his wife? I thought she was his sister. I knew Margie's blog about her phone work for Weber Gaming was a precursor to bigger things for her! -- Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Please read post #199 and #201 for answers to your question about when the new season will start. The delay is because of the writer's strike. -- I believe that heroes are the people who do what has to be done, when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I absolutely love this show and am happy to see that there are plans for the 3rd season, but shouldn't the 3rd season have started by now? HBO ran the previous season's that started this past November and I thought for sure the new season would begin on 5/3/08. I had (have) all episodes to record on my DVR and on 5/3/08 the scheduled epidsode (which was the same as the previous week- the 4th of July season finale) went off the air. The schedule had completely changed with no "Big Love" in sight! If I recall correctly, new shows aired on Monday night and the season ended in midsummer? Does anyone know where we could find any information on this or anything regarding future plans for the show? Any information would be great! I have been almost in tears at the thought of the show not returning. (I know, I need to get a life...) I have become so attached to the character's and I look forward to spending time with them every week! (A few years ago I watched Huff on Showtime and really looked forward to new episodes. The season ended and never came back. What a terrible thing to do to fans and avid subscribers to a pay channel. I just hope that HBO doesn't do that with this show! I recall them stopping a show that I liked... Oh, yeah! The Comeback --never came back, that I was aware of.) Our cable company keeps advertising "On Demand, Coming Soon..." (Cox Cable in the Phx/Mesa, Arizona area) Really not sure how that works but from the posts I've read, we'll get rerun's on a fairly regular basis. My DVR has most of the episodes that I recorded but it's not the same as when they air on tv.) Thanks for any and all information that you can share! and sorry to be so long winded!

Shoo! Good to hear it will be returning. I love, love this show. The prior season ended with a good cliffhanger. Would hate it if we never knew what happens next in the saga of the Henrickson families. =) -- Edited by lilelven at 05/17/2008 2:54 PM PDT
