There is a sad history in cable television of producing amazingly well-written and hungrily watched television shows, deciding they have no viewership, and taking them off the air while we, their loyal viewers, can do nothing but weep. "Carnivale" is one example that particularly stung me, but there are others to be sure, and HBO isn't the only network guilty of it (Arrested Development, anyone?) HBO, do NOT make the same mistake with this show. Is this even a possibility? What's the gossip? Quick, someone get Oprah to interview the cast and creators! That should seal several more seasons!

Marge is the bit of comedy to make an over dramatic romantic intense show at peace. With out her, it wouldn't be so great. -- [This is my secret place while sitting behind my desk at work taking calls for VerizonFiOS]

i was so very sure that nothing would be as addictive as six feet under, but i was wrong indeed. if only i hadn't caught up so fast..when is the next season? personally i thought the season ender was stellar, and i loved the season as a whole as well. though i understand no progression could come from bill and roman, i am still utterly devastated that they killed old roman. my favorite character! harry dean, what a guy. fantastic performance. i don't know how the series will stack up without him. alby certainly isnt up for the task, at least i dont believe so. (another fantastic actor on this series, but always creepy! american psycho, anyone?) nicki is going to lose it! i would rather see her grab for power than any other grant, i must say. she does like to stir things up.. i must also disagree with those who naysay marge. i think shes adorable, and its important to have her in there for the dynamic i think. furthermore, now that she is becoming more assertive it ought to make for some interesting scenes with her and bill. all three of them have had their problems this season, heaven knows. i wonder when bill will really bring the wrath. what will become of the compound? i wonder if wanda might knock herself off eventually, shes about to enter an even messier phase than she was in before..i think lois will continue to slowly soften as well. i LOVED her in twin peaks! so excited to see her here. i sure hope barb doesnt get sick again as that would be a downer. still, stress is no good for the system.. and finally, towards the end of this season i was beginning to want rhonda back, though it shocks me to say such a thing. i want her back in the game, and i wonder if she might take the opportunity to bask in the press after romans death..telling everyone how she loved him, no doubt. whatever gets the most attention at the time, right? shes come along way from the soggy corpse girl in the ring, ha! what a show..i cannot bear to wait for the next season, good lord. how can they go on without harry dean stanton? i wonder if anyone knows, did he decide to leave the show? how could they knock him out of there otherwise?

I certainly hope this was not a dream sequence for Bill. Although, my daughter and I looked at each other and said "How did Bill get out of garage?"

HBO announced early in the season that the show has been renewed for season 4. The synopsis of the last episode says that Roman is dead. It would also be pretty unimaginative to have Roman be at deaths door for another season finale. Roman is dead. -- Well-behaved women rarely make history.......... Laurel Thatcher Ulrich

Is it possible the whole Episode 34 is a vision that Bill is having while lying in the barn? He was having lots of visions in the episode before this? After all, it's not explained how he got back home from his fall. ________________ I wish because I love Harry Dean Stanton as Roman. The highlight of the season was Bill getting a long wet kiss from him ~ ha ha . But Big Love tend to wrap up each season and I believe this is it. what a season with Albie being one of the more sympathetic characters. NO doubt Nikki's daughter will be a younger version of Nikki herself. Hopefully Rhonda will return and give her a run for her money. Maybe Barb can find time for her kids this year. All seson she just reminds was pregnant Sarah, this isn't the best time right now. Tancy will return from outerspace looking different and maybe they can finally address her odd habit of showing dirty magazines to boys . What is to become of Adaleen, maybe she can marry DOn so he can be a polygamist again. "They laughed at me Bill" i really hate Bill. Having sex with Nikki and then saying he wanted to be unsealed . Real prophet like. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Bill will be NO different than Roman in the end.

I saw Bill giving communion to his family as him taking his rightful place. The one he should occupy as the son of the REAL prophet, not Roman, Roman killed Bill and Joey's father, who was the real prophet. I thought Nikki bringing her long lost daughter home, just in time to keep her out of the 'joy' book, and in time to take first communion at the true prophet's newly declared church, as a sign that there will be others, more than happy to have a church again. Don and Peg come readily to mind. I can even see Bill's church bringing Don's missing wives and children back to him, to them, however you say it! I really don't think all that happened while he was unconsciounce on the barn floor. I think he had the vision he'd been waiting for, finally, in those stars. And his vision told him what he said to the family. A church that puts us away, a splinter group that is only trying to destroy the family. I would bet that Bill taking on the mantle of prophet was in the original story that was floated to HBO, many years ago. Hey if it works that way, with Bill taking his always was his place, then Joey just helped him get there. Sort of like Roman helped himself into that prophet role when their dad was prophet. It was a great episode, and the best season they have had yet, that writer's strike turned out to be good luck for Big Love. Well the writer's strike and the jerk in Kansas and all the news they occupied for so long. Good stuff. I'm sure there will be a next season, Big Love is all HBO has left of it's glory days. When the Sopranos were how they got viewers. And I totally agree. To ax this show, would be HBO as usual. -- A lonesome high, a funnytime cry, the blues the blues the blues Cissyyost

Big Love not returning for another season would be right in-step with how HBO seems to do things. It almost seems like my enjoyment of a series is the frigging kiss of death for it!

I think that this whole episode is some kind of "dream" or vision while Bill is lying on the barn floor. Everything is too neatly tidied up. Joey got his revenge, Roman is dead. Bill got one over on his brother in law. Nicky and her daughter made it out of the compound. Bill gives his blessing too easily to his daughter and her boyfriend, etc. etc..... I just don't think it makes sense to neat end all these storylines at once. Unless, BIG LOVE isn't getting renewed. Then, it makes sense as there is closure to the series. I hope it is coming back!!!!!!!!!!

If there WAS a hidden recording made, and now > Roman is a goner, Nicky could be hauled in for > questioning. And it seemed like Joey was not seen by > anyone and he would be the only one knowing Nicky > didn't do it. Just an observation. Good point, sawdustcottage - it would certainly make for an interesting storyline, especially given the history between Nikki and Ray. Alby will, of course, be tried for the botched bombing. Having injured an innocent bystander ensures that they won't be able to sweep it under the rug. But Joey may well escape being a suspect in Roman's murder. And his anger and animosity towards Bill and Nikki may well prevent him from coming forward, even if Nikki is charged.

One more thing: I think Nikki's daughter will be the next "villainess" on the show. She obviously lied about not having already eaten a muffin. She told Nikki she killed a toad and cut it open just to see what it was like. Do we have the makings of a sociopath? Like mother, like daughter!
