I think Barb should divorce Bill . . .
she just isn't cut out for polygamy. She comes from that wealthy conservative family, and I think she would be happier if she left.
Does anyone else think that it was Barb's parents who gave Bill the $$$ in the 1st place to start home plus???

Ana is not Mormon. That was made clear - she explained her family history. Margene meant that Bill fell for her sexually, and Margie fell for her as a friend. The only person making it a "gay" show is you.

Anna is creepy and I doubt if there are Mormons in Bosnia. When Margene, Margie, Marge (whatever her stupid name is this week) said, "WE fell for you.", I wanted to puke. Why are these writers so intent on making this a gay show? It is suppose to be about the Mormon religion.

I think Nicki is an evil person. She is constantly instigating between Barb and Margene. She deliberately called Alby to stay in Alby's good side.
As for Anna, she adds a spark to the show. I like her and I think she will make a good 4th wife. Does anyone feel the same? I would like to see how they would marry a 4th?

Titannia, you made a very salient point upthread with regard to Barb being saddled with a baby if Brynn would have become pregnant. And as I don't recall them using any protection, I was kind of surprised that we didn't see a Brynn pregnancy subplot this season.
It's kind of sad to see Ben's character failing at every turn where love is concerned, and the poor choices he makes. Between Brynn, the freaky compound twins, the sXe debacle with Don Embry's son...it just goes on and on. I really felt for him when he confided in his previous ward minister, and Bill came down on him so hard for not coming to him first.
Okay, back on topic - I don't think there were many surprises in the finale, but it was still satisfying when all is said and done. I could have done with a wee bit less Ana, and some hint or resolution of the Frank/Lois relationship, instead. Minor gripe, though.

Ana is not 4th wife material. I'm pretty sure she's not polygamy material. I'm not sure she's even wife material. She liked Bill, and she's very hot for him, but it's not love.

What are you, 16?
Still with your High School sweetheart? Very few people marry their first love, and most who do divorce within 5 years.
All Barb did was tell the truth. It's not "butting in," to tell your son's girlfriend what she'd be getting into, by marrying your son.
You forget that if Ben knocked up Brynne, BARB is the one who'd be raising the baby. Ben's still in High School. Brynne is in college, and really is a bit too old for Ben anyway right now.

Margie really needs a strong female in her life. When Barb flaked out over the trauma of exposure, she turned to Ana. Remember how Ana yelled something at the cook in the diner in Serbian, and how Margie's face lit up in admiration? Same look she gave Barb when Barn outed the family to Pam. The writers in this show are excellent, and I think we cant give enough credit to the BL actors, they add the layers upon layers of nuance that keeps us discussing the smallest events in the show, and to the DIRECTORS who bring out these stellar performances. I sometimes have trouble remembering that these are not real people living real lives! I wanna go demonstrate for the polygamists rights to live as they please in America! Go Big Love! And don't keep us waiting too long!

Bill set up Romans arrest, getting him out of the way and exposing Alby at the same time for betraying his father within the community. Romans wife will testify that she saw Alby and his wife drugging Roman. Bye Bye Alby's new power.

I like Anna also, but I don't think she'll join the family. She's lived under the yoke of Communism, she's had a hard life .. why would she want to live under yet another patriarchal structure?? (Yes, a very tame one compared to Communism, but still.)
Also, she'd never let Barb and Nicki tell her what to do. She's lived under real tyrany .. she won't let it in her life again. I hope.

Well, you're playing the Nicki role well. Remember she called Ana Russian once and last night Bavarian. Ana's from Serbia, which was part of what researcher Margene noted at the diner, "part of the former Yugoslavia." She looked so pleased with herself after spitting out that little piece of knowledge.
