My daughter and son in law took relaxation classes to prepare for childbirth. The big day arrived this week. When she was in the early stages of labor they watched several episodes of Big Love to distract her a bit, and then he began giving her "affirmations" as she continued on through labor. At one point he fell asleep and instead of saying all the affirmative things (like "you are completely relaxed") began to murmur, "The prophet will return, but not as a prophet...." So true! We have't had cable in 4 years so I get to miss everything when it's show on time. We recently rented BL from our local library and watched both seasons 1 and 2 within a matter of a few weeks....you'll never know how dissapointed I am to find out Season3 will not be out til December!! I am so hooked on this show! I won't be visiting the site much because I don't want to be spoiled of clips of season 3, I'd rather wait to watch the whole episodes. It's hard to read the blogs without some spoilers for me being out there, so hope everyone enjoyed the season and I'll be talking to you all after I get to see season 3!

By the way, did you guys know that the YouTube clip of the temple ceremony episode isn't there any more? It's available other places but not on YouTube anymore.

Yes....Big Love is easy to get addicted to and it does seem to blend with your life. If you have any experience with cultish fundemental compounds then the show brings even more to the table. Some of it is dead on, while other stuff is a bit over the top....although it is fictitious they seem to have done their research on "fundys". Who am I to judge though......most people deem me to be a "fundy" as well....I would argue though that if I was....I wouldn't be watching HBO. Perhaps I am just a hypocritical fundy *sigh*.
