Big Love Web of Acting

...idk about anyone else but i have noticed that many of the actors in Big love have been in other movies or t.v. shows together or have worked with the same directors, etc. and i just think its kinda neat. Since they may have known each other from previous works and then they got to work together and become a family for this series.

I had a few to mention but i cant really remember what ones i was gonna say so ill say the one that is sticking out in my mind:

Amanda Seyfried and Harry Dean Stanton- Alpha Dog (2005)

can you think of any others?? :)

In the Green Mile, HDS was the older prisoner who helped with the rehearsals of the executions. He kept repeating, in a sing-song way all of Hanks' instructions to the guards. It was a fairly small role, but he was great.

According to IMDB, he played a character named Toot-Toot. I don't remember him either. Probably because that movei had a lot of great actors in small parts in it. Great movie, though.

I watched a terribly depressing movie on cable last week called "Chrystal." The main star was Billy Bob Thorton, but both Grace Zabriskie and Harry Dean Stanton were in the supporting cast. Also, Tom Hanks (exec. producer of Big Love) and Harry Dean Stanton were in "The Green Mile" together.

Many of the cast members have worked on the same projects.
Jeanne Tripplehorn and Tina Majorino (Heather) were in the Kevin Costner film Waterworld together.
Chloe Sevigny and Zeljko Ivanek (J.J.) both appeared in the Lars Von Trier films Dogville and Manderlay.
Amanda Seyfried and Tina Majorino, as well as the kid who played Ben's friend Jason in the first two seasons, both worked on the t.v. show Veronica Mars, although I don't believe they ever appeared together in scenes.
Grace Zabriskie (Lois) and Chloe Sevigny recently completed work on the Werner Herzog film My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done? due for release in 2010.
Bill Paxton directed and starred in the film Frailty, in which Luke Askew (Hollis Green) appeared and Joel McKinnon Miller (Don Embry) was cut out of.
Matt Ross (Alby) has appeared in two films with Chloe Sevigny. The first is Whit Stillman's film The Last Days of Disco, in which they shared a number of scenes. The second was American Psycho. That film was directed by Mary Harron who also directed one episode of Big Love during season one.
I'm sure there are probably many more to be found, with alittle digging.
