Duets

I have PMd to some of you regarding Duets and her family in the past few days and I am opening this up to everyone now.
One of our own is in need right now. I know we have different beliefs but they need Good Thoughts, Positive Energy and Prayers right now.
Duet's husband was rushed to hospital earlier this week (I think Tuesday) and is in ICU. They have an idea what is wrong but cannot determine why and thus far have had no success in treating him. He is in terrible pain and is trying to remove IVs etc. There is concern about the quality of care, especially when she is not there. They have no family there and she is pretty much trying to do this alone. They also have twin boys (about 8) that she is trying to care for.
Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

I hope the boys enjoyed their long weekend, duets!

I've been bitching about the side effects from antibiotics all week, then I come here and remember what your family is going through, and feel mortally embarassed for complaining about a headache!

Do keep us up on the news. I hope this comes to a happy, healthy end very soon!

Withay,

Ok, I'll take you up on that future scheduled moment.

Hubby's test for the pressure thing (prior to OR) came back within normal limits. Of course, the surgeon still has to decide if the procedure will be done based upon whether, the outcome outweighs the risk etc. Or something like that. Personally, it's just a wait & see thing. For now, we're just taking it day by day. The boys just had a 4 day week-end for Veterans Day. Happy Veterans Day to any/all.

I hope that soon hubby can feel good again & eat!
But I know that he won't be able to until the surgery is done. I'll keep everyone up to date on when that day will be. Thanks to all.

I'm beginning to wonder if anyone can do anything right anymore (those in health care).

Today we went as we were instructed to go to the hospital, they drained the tummy, ok, then said they were done. I told them he was to be admitted for further stuff, they said nope, nothing further to be done. While driving home I called the doc's office (who ordered all of the stuff & our case manager) The office said, all orders were sent and we were to be admitted. The case manager is her typical rude & uncaring self & doesn't know ("nothing") anything.

Finally we got word back from the case manager, we now go thru the NPO Sunday night [again], to be admitted on Monday morning. And just what I needed the kids are out of school Mon for Veteran's Day, they're off for 2 days. And this is the Monday when J's cast is to come off. They both are suppose to be at their appt's at 10am.

No one to take them each & stay with them. Aaaargh, I'll figure it all out, probably Sunday night.
This is just too much to figure out on Friday evening, imho. Then my boss @ work is like writing a book or something, & is asking my entire schedule, from 8a to 5p, DAILY. I don't suppose fmla means you have any privacy, hmm. I went in for 1/2 day this week, and was ask so many questions, I felt like my schedule was under interrogation or something.

Duets,
I was beginning to worry about you again but figured you were just busy, busy. Keep us updated, and, as always, you and yours remain in my prayers.

Hello everyone,

Just a quick update, labs, tests, etc. Going in the hospital Fri, for a procedure over-night, which is in prep for surg (within the next 2-3 wks). The procedure will reduce the risk of hemmorhage during the upcoming surg. [This is the big surg that we've been trying to avoid.]

Thanks again to all, we need your positive thoughts & prayers.

I understand how he thinks it was an accident, though I don't agree with his logic. He meant to hurt him, he just did not mean to break his elbow! That part was an accident....

Duets we will keep praying for you guys and I hope things are better soon!

Twins are so fun aren't they? My brothers fought constantly growing up and even now at 43 they can't get along for very long at all. I've had friends who were twins that got along great but it's not always the case. Hopefully your little guys will grow out of it.

Hi Duets,

Thanks for stopping by. You sure do have your hands full, don't you. Glad hubby should be feeling better soon. What a process it all is!

Hey all,

We are all hanging in. Still have alot (more) going on here! First, hubby is going to have tummy re-drained tomorrow! This should help him feel better! Then we have IV meds @ home; instead of by mouth. They were making him sick, by mouth. So now I hang IV
meds every 8 hrs (yep, one's due at midnight, nightly).
Btw, this isn't recommended for (my) sleep deprivation!

The stents that were put in a month ago, have gotta be removed sometime in the next week. I hope this doesn't mean another trip to Phoenix?. We are looking into that, where/when/what etc.

Next, Mr. W kicked Mr. J; now J has a broken elbow, while playing in the park (2 evenings ago). W said, I'm sorry, it was an accident! Hardly, imho. Another child held J while W kicked him. I hardly call that an accident. Anyway, it's just another day in paradise. [sarcasm].

As they say, boys will be boys! Mine just have to learn to take up for each other instead of tormenting each other!

Btw, J chose a blue cast to sport for the next 3 wks.

Keep praying ALL, thanks.
