To tell the truth I only started watching Big Love because it came on after the Sopranos and a young friend of mine told me it was VERY HUMOROUS! I figured it was a good thing to watch before bed and after the drama of Sopranos. During those first few episodes of Season 1 I did laugh outloud at some scenes, particularly the one where Bill couldn't remember who's night it was! Another humorous scene was when Barb and Nicki could hear Margene I think when she was having an orgasm! Then it all got so serious ... Roman etc. Does anyone else recall funny moments?

I laugh at just about everything Lois and Adaleen say and do. But I also love the more subtle humor of the interactions between the wives. -- I'm looking at you with my eyes!

Roman's daughter was of course from another wife, it is not Addy's father marrying his own granddaughter, it is a step granddaughter. No blood relation. Yes! More Frank! I love that scene where Lois is trying to get her money back from him. She has the seductive music on.... she tells him she'll let him come in the back door.' "If I wanted an old caboose, I'd call Union Pacific!" he says.

Maybe I just see humour in the darker stuff, but I think the Greenes, through their extremeness, are pretty entertaining. I love that they sent all those gift baskets to Bill. "Corporate gifting," he explained. Wanda had some good scenes toward the end of the 2nd season. Eyeing that can of Comet while she was dusting a cake with confectioners sugar? I loved that! I liked when Alby showed up at Wanda and Joey's house when Lois was there alone looking for them, and he reached toward her face ... she cringed.... and he said, "Got your nose!" What about the twins that are pursuing Benny? Or the debacle of Barb's mother's wedding, when that little girl says to BIll, "Can you really say that your apostasy has brought you joy and serenity?" And he says, "Oh, shut up!"

Lois calls Bill from the Laundromat and Bill asks what she is doing there. She then asks how he knew she was calling from a Laundromat and Bill says I have caller I.D. Lois asks what caller I.D. is and Bill says its that thing on your phone that shows you who is calling. Lois looks at her phone and abruptly hangs up.

To me any scene where nicki is in it is usually very humorous. She's a real character.Sometimes things Ben or sarah so or do is funny to me as well.Bill's bufuddleness is funny at times to.Big love has lots of funny moments, and is partly why it is so much fun to watch.

It was when Barb wanted all three wives to stand firm together against Weber gaming, and Nicki wanted everybody to submit to Bill and be in proper subjection to their husband. -- "And, finally, New Rule: If America's richest one-percent are now so rich that even a five-star hotel isn't good enough, it's time to bring back the guillotine."
