Yes, you read the subject line correctly. Your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. Neither am I. There's a notable difference/similarity between the 2. Check it out..... {I'm not really sure how looking up one thing brought me to this subject; however, while researching the correlation between Bountiful, Canada group with Winston Blackmore & reading about his life etc. then how W. Jeff's sort of moved in & took over there, while ex-communicating Blackmore. (Interesting read, I now think that Blackmore had a little bit of Alby in him also) Notice how he's always smiling in the media pictures. He has a lot to smile about. [Mission accomplished] Then, when Jeff's took over the group in Canada, I came across an interesting article: Anyway, all of that lead me to this:} "Leroy Johnson taught: "We are not trying to set up another church or to set the Church in order." "However, in response to a disagreement with members of the UEP, the Johnson/Jeff's group (the "First Ward") officially registered their religious organization, calling themselves "The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" ( note the lack of a hyphen in Latter-Day & the capitalization of "Day") or FLDS Church in 1991 with Jeff's as President. On the other hand, or on the flip side of this coin: In the Book of Mormon: "Published by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake City, Utah, USA" While looks can be deceiving and some similarities run a close race. Both groups follow the teachings of Joseph Smith. And then of course, both of these groups used to be 1 united group; up until the manifesto. Even down to a name being so similar; or maybe it's just plain coincidental. What do you think? Source used: mormon fundamentalism.com -- duets

Ah, thanks JH, I'm just a little behind the times here & didn't want to leave anyone out. He(TTP) hasn't been here in a while, I guess he's still out on the farm. I feel bad that I didn't mention Happy Pioneer Day to Zoar, especially. Sorry Zoar, we luv ya. -- duets

Wow that is really interesting. I had no idea there was any difference or that I ever noticed. You read the line and you think it is all the same.

zoar, Thanks for the link, it's interesting to me that some 20 or so %, in the survey taken do not know the difference between the two groups. It should be interesting to follow what happens here. Thanks again, -- duets
