You have to register with the Times to have access. My computer logged me on automatically, and I forgot I had needed to register.
If you do register with www.nytimes.com, do a search for "Children of God," and you'll find it. On line (but not in the printed version), there's also a photo essay of the life of those who have returned to the ranch, which is not many, called "Inside their world."
The story is primarily a photo study of a household - Sally Jeffs and several of her "adult" children, including a 17-year-old with a one-year-old baby, living in a rental house near San Antonio. It begins with a mention of 16-year-old Teresa Jeffs climbing a tree near the courthouse, making it clear that this girl is behaving like any child.
Teresa denies being married, but her court-appointed lawyer obtained a special order barring any contact between her and 38-year-old Ramond Jessop (relationship unspecified). Teresa is publicly disputing with her attorney, claiming that her interests were not being represented.

The cover story of the New York Times Sunday Magazine today is:
Children of God
The story is all in the photos - check them out. There's a great photo of a 16-year-old girl on a trampoline. It's an interesting contrast with the photo of a 17-year-old girl with her 1-year-old child.

You're welcome. Funny I was just checking out the article of Pioneer day with Deseret when I noticed this as being the headline.

No, I can't. Since this involves such a large group of people etc, it's going to take some time.
Individually will take a very long time; but I think it's the way to address the issues alleged.

Thanks for the info, duets! Can you imagine the work involved with all those cases? It's the only thing that makes sense, though - to separate them and judge each case by the merits. Treating then as a single case served a purpose, but it's long gone.

Since Tsari quoted wurks here and I actually saw his response to me, I'm replying...
WHAT evidence? You don't tell us anything. None of the FLDS men tell us anything. The only thing we have to go on are the people who DO talk to the press. If you believe there's a stereotype, you don't counter it by saying it's a lie - you counter it by telling what you see as the truth. And if you never, never say anything other than "it's a lie!!", you can't blame the rest of the world for not understanding your point of view.

Wurks. . .on another thread we were/are discussing the fact that men and women speak 2 different languages. . .In this case. . .everything you say (write) looks to me like:

When are you going to learn to speak human????
