Ok, What do you all think? Is Roman really dead this time? There have been time sin the past where we thought he was dead but made amazing recoveries. I mean, this time he was suffocated and the problem that people tend to have when suffocating people is stopping when they stop struggling. This is a bad idea as they usually stop struggling when they pass out from lack of oxygen and then begin breathing again once you stop.So...will we see Roman in season 4?

Maybe they will declare temporary insanity and he will go to the mental hospital for bit and then back out.

Bummer, a part of me did hope that Roman was still alive, but I guess that article seals it. It's good to know that his prescence will still be a big part of the show, but for how long? I mean, Roman's name can only hold power for so long, who will step in and fill his place?

yup, he's dead. im just worried for poor joey. When i re-watched season 3 and the finale, i noticed how everything was gonna be ending on a good (somewhat) note, Ray and Bill had just received a confession from Selma of what really happened and they were gonna nail Roman for Kathy's death...and then has joey to find his own revenge and smothers Roman. very depressing IMO. That investigation will be a BIG part of season 4 and probably will end with Joey's conviction ...nevertheless i am excited for what is to come! -- "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. Speculation is pointless, but for those of you that enjoy it - have at it. The permutations for having Roman dead are endless. The permutations for a living Roman are finite. Although some interesting possible plot lines have been hinted at, but not ecplored - (ala Nicolette abused, although does anyone doubt this?). Roman may be too good a character to kill, he is deliciously evil - the perfect villan. Besides, Joey has failed at everything he has ever tried - why not this! I believe the next season starts filming in August, so we will know someday. -- Edited by Erosthenes at 06/22/2009 1:42 AM PDT

They might film HDS in some Roman "flashbacks." There might be some Nikki-incest-abuse backstory to be told, regarding events in the past. Roman still would be dead in the present, just haunting Nikki, etc.

I think that Frank may try to use "rightful succession" in his attempt to gain control. That as the Son in Law of the "rightful prophet" ( Lois's father ) , he should be the next prophet. Of course, we don't really know what other sons Roman has hidden away, either. There may be a son already leading another compound who will pop in to try and claim JC! -- Well-behaved women rarely make history.......... Laurel Thatcher Ulrich

I believe Roman is dead, leaving Alby, JJ and Bill to gain control of Juniper Creek. Meanwhile, who IS the leader? Alby, for now, but would Roman have had to put in writing who his successor is? Something tells me he "disinherited" Alby (who will probably get his hands on his father's will, etc. and hide it away). Where the heck does mean, old Frank fit into the scenario? Doesn't one have to have visions in order to be the Prophet? -- "I know you think I'm a dirty chinchilla" - Lois - "Big Love"
