Roman was arrested for taking underage girls across state lines to marry.
I thought I odd that the girls who were about to testify were all from the compound? Somehow it turned into local thing?
But federal law trumps local events. Given how his sister was given as a wife to Holace Green and perhaps Nikki to Jay Jay and sent off or married to Kansas the crimes committed do involve several jurisdictions.
Didn't Bill's help with his neice's kidnapping and getting the Green's help Bill and Nikki with the DA? Green is worse than Grant.
Roman wasn't even supposed to be at the "big house" when he was murdered.

Wow is right! That is going to be some big drama coming up this season. It does explain a lot as far as Wanda is concerned. I can't wait for January!

Wow, Marion, that is a good one! 
Maybe that accounts for some of the mental problems Wanda has and the suspected problems that JJ has?
Could all tie in to testifying in D.C.
Yeah...Ana had to be back...I know some people didn't care for her but I like her. I thought the story line was a bit wacky but I think we discussed that one already!

Wow, Marion, great information! I guess Roman's tiny nephew is a Little Person? And Anna has not disappeared forever. I felt like there would be more to her story. And I don't know what to say about Wanda and JJ's parents... I guess just that I figured incest would come up at some point.

Accoding to the new TV Guide, in the new season "we'll learn that Wanda and her brother J.J.'s parents were...brother and sister." Big Love is currently casting for their roles.
"We'll also meet Roman's tiny nephew, Toby, and his six wives. And when Bill's almost-fourth-wife Ana returns, she will be bringing along a Serbian fiance named Ivan."

Well, maybe Ray Ray the Cute DA has some connections in DC that we don't know about?
There has to be some connection to Ray Ray and testifying...it's all legal stuff. (like my technical definition of legal matters?).

I doubt if Ray is involved; he was a county DA and Nicki and CaraLynn have gone to Washington DC which would indicate a Federal investigation.

I imagine they can do a lot with that story line. It certainly is a good one.
Take a little of Elissa Wall, Carolyn Jessup, Flora Jessup etc.
You have a great amount of things to work with.
I wonder if Ray Ray the Cute DA is somehow in there? He did say he was going to pursue Bill etc. Maybe Nicki was "encouraged" to testify to clean up that mess she did spying for Roman. Her testimony in exchange for going free.

I just recently watched the entire season 3 (a little soon because now I can't wait until January!!) what I'm really wondering about is whats going to happen to Joey and him killing Roman Grant!! Its just that last season had my head spinning unlike any other season before I'm just wondering where its all going to go...There was a lot of sadness last season, so I hope that some happiness can shine threw their miserable circumstances.
