I just don't get why she vanished from the last several episodes. The last one I saw her in was the family vacation where she found the ltr ......
WHY wasn't she at the family communion. This really bugs me.

On a side note anyone seeking employment as an actor should contact "Teenie's" agent LOL! She certainly is getting lots of "press" here!

I think so too, withay - one line would have done it.
I think they just didn't think we'd notice.
I wonder about the line about her parents "sending her away." Doesn't that sound like what we suspect about Nicki being sent away? Not to mention Bill being abandoned at 14?

We wanted to have it be sort of that her parents were fed up and were trying to send her away, and we did have lines of dialogue about her having to live with her grandmother. So when we left her out of the sacrament at the end of season finale, we were doing so on purpose. But all of that happens off-screen without any explanation. We will deal with that this coming season."
This is a direct quote from the link. So they never really told us this about where Teeny was; they just wanted us to "assume". Personally, I think that was a cop-out...how much time would it have taken for Barb to make a reference to Teeny being at Nancy's?
And he specifically said Roman is D-E-A-D. Dead.
And January 2010 is when they are expecting to return.

I'm not how i feel about Teeny, but she is missing.perhaps Nikki's daughter will move in and sort of take her place.Teeny doesn't seem to fit in with Ben and Sarah, and is a little nerdy but oh well.

I thought it was because it was so spur of the moment. IMO it would've been fine if they had just included a line explaining that Tancy was with Nancy. (Yes, I think it's cute that they rhyme.)
I also thought it was cool to know that the producers read the boards.

FYI: If one clicks on the picture in the article it enlarges. Then, click it -again- and it further enlarges into a nice, big image. By far the largest image of the four main characters I've yet found. (I assume y'all know how to save images?)
(It's 7" x 10.54", 300-dpi resolution.. according to Photoshop.)

Glad I read the LA Times article about Teeny becoming a problem for the family and a delinquent. I wasn't quite sure what to make of her. I presumed she was just an awkward, semi-nerdy girl. Then in the block party episode - where the neighbor woman was 'up in arms' because Teeny had been showing the kids some porn magazine-- I kind of figured that Teeny was becoming more of a behavioral problem child, but it never went into that.
And I beleive in that same block party episode, the neighbor woman who was all worked up, used the name "Tansie" when telling Barb , so that really threw me a loop. I watched it again to figure out who the heck she was referring to.

Thanks so much for posting this! I'm devastated that Roman is really dead though. I was holding out hope that HDS would be back next season. I'll miss him greatly.

So Roman is going to be dead. Dead, dead, dead. No last-episode vision. Teeny is going to be a bit of a delinquent. Margene is going to challenge the patriarchal theme (there's a rumor that she will want another husband). JJ will be back, and Ana will be back, but not necessarily next season.
And the writers read the boards. Yay!

When and where did the producers say this? I'm usually pretty good at digging out most of the articles and this is the first I have heard of this.

I thought that the sports camp line was to explain her absence from the episodes prior to 'Come All Ye Saints'.
The producers explained that Teeny is supposed to currently be with Grandma Nancy. She has presumably been living with Nancy since sometime after the family trip.
