I don't think Winky will have the power or work rate to defeat Williams. He'll give him problems, but Paul will throw so many punches, it'll be hard to give Winky many rounds. I'm also worried about Winky's inactivity...look for his timing to be off...for a boxer who realizes on timing, countering and guile...ring rust hurts more than it would for most boxers. the arms are part of the body-i mean you can wear a man down with continuos arm punching. anyway williams is better than that-he has decent accuracy-he just doesn't come in bombing away. Williams is a pretty good body puncher 2 and that's what he needs to do vs Winky and that pink ah boo style of his. Wright will try to push 4ward if he thinks Williams can't hurt him. Lately wrights been tryn to bring the fight to opponents-well not lately but rather in his last couple of fights. I mean he'll think he's the natural bigger fighter and I see him really tryn to bring the fight to Ill Will, but I still think Williams will win, but I also thought Tito was going to beat Wright also.

Wright's defense is nearly impregnable and he times his opponent very well. Williams has never met an opponent with the combination of size and experience that Winky Wright brings, and it will show. Williams' defense is shoddy and he will take more punches from Wright than anyone he will ever have faced. Wright via unanimous decision.

LOL. since when the hell is winky wright a pressure fighter. hes a counter puncher and you seem to forget that paul williams also does very well fighting on the inside. he doesnt need to keep a distance from wright. although wright is the more experienced at that weight...wright is not a power puncher. if williams can take margarito punch (with or without plaster) then i have no doubt he can take wrights punch. Paul williams lands vicious body punches on the inside and throws alot of punches and i dont think wright will be able to keep up. wright may cause problems for williams in the early rounds but i expect williams to take control and score a decision or late round knockout. ultimately wright has been inactive for way too long

I expect Wright to work inside on Williams and throw short but effective jabs and left crosses forcing Williams backward, taking power off his shots and keeping him off balance. Williams won't be able to work effectively when crowded and doesn't have the elusive footwork to effectively escape Wright's pressure. Williams won't run from a fight anyway even when forced to which Wright figures to do. Williams won't be allowed his safe, long range and customary control of distance. Wright will control the range and action, and will emerge as the victor as his experience shows despite Williams' best efforts and supposed superiority over Wright. Doubts will surface regarding Williams after losses to southpaws Quintana and Wright and talk of he being a pound for pound top ten curtail greatly afterward, especially after losing to an older fighter who'd been on sabbatical for nearly a year and a half. Bernard Hopkins will remark, "That was almost as good as my win over Pavlik".

I got the punisher in this fight. but i dont think it will be as easy as most think. winky is old but he doesnt fight like an old fighter. winky doesnt have the normal wear and tear of others fighters his age nor has he ever tooken and really bad punishment. I think he will give williams some problems early but i think williams will be able to adjust and win a decision or score a knockout in the final rounds. -- Edited by usaf2006 at 03/23/2009 3:49 PM PDT

I got Williams winning by 11th rd tko.I love Winky but he been out the game a long time and already had bad legs. The inactivity and age progression will eventually cause Winky to lose to the younger, hungrier fighter!

What up playa? Did Klitchko dominate Gomez and how did Roy look in his last fight? I just want to know how they performed before I check it out anyway on utube. Winky is a good fighter but a guy that can just keep throwing them things will give him problems. Maybe I was the only one that saw this, but Sam Soliman gave him a tougher time then he expected. Ill Will just needs to keep throwing them things-not wild a reckless like Sam did-but Winky's older and get's more tired down the stretch-PEACE

I've seen so many documentaries on the "Thrilla in Manila", I feel like I was actually living then and saw that fight live. As for the premiere of Pacquaio-Hatton 24/7, I'm actually excited about it. The 24/7 series has sucked recently. Pacquaio, de la Hoya, RJ, and Calzage are pretty boring personalities and it made the show horrible. The best 24/7 by far, was Mayweather-Hatton. Hatton's personality is awsome and I'm looking foward to seeing him on the series for this megafight. As for Wright-Williams, I'm very interested in this fight. In reality, Winky has been away from the sport longer than Mayweather, he just didn't make a Brett Favre retirement speech. Last we saw him, he was considered a P4P elite and was giving B-Hop a much tougher fight than the middleweight champ was able to this past year. If Wink is still Wink, this will be Williams' toughest test of his career.
