Every boxer Mackie Shilstone has helped train in the past in boxing has gone on to be victorious. He helped Michael Spinks, Riddick Bowe, and Roy Jones Jr, and he also trained Hopkins to beat Tarver in the past. Do you think that Mackie can be the difference against Calzaghe?

Yes, it can make a difference when it comes to maximizing one's functional residual capacity and cardiovascular reserves. The body is like an engine and it's moving part. Frequent oil changes and tune ups extend the life of the engine, especially if the engine has alot of miles, such is the case with a 43yr. old Bernard Hopkins. Definately, it will help his endurance in the later rds.

Mackie Shitsone of course will play a factor. Mackie gives you the conditioning wich is neccessary for such a big fight. As hopkins states conditioning gives you a tank of gas to run all night. Hopkins already has the tools to beat Joe so it will just be about having the energy to do it all night. In the Tarver fight hopkins looked exceptional and looking at his training camp for this fight he seems as though he will be in ever better shape because this is a bigger event.

Only as far as conditioning, those fighters have the tools anyway.
