Is Chad Dawson a fighter you'd pay to see fight on PPV?

Chad Dawson made his HBO debut on Saturday night against Antonio Tarver. For those of you that have seen him fight before or just on Saturday how do you feel about him as a fighter? Would you order a ppv to watch him fight?

GunRunner2, okay then-do you think Roy still has what it takes to beat Lacy? We have quite a few regulars on this site and from what I hear-every 1 seems to know boxing and this includes you- me-Jarule-Hitking-carbq1-mexboxingfan1 and a few others.

I want to play a little game-it's called WHO'S YOUR PICK-we can make a friendly lil pick and keep our records online for all to see-let's start this weekend.

Let's play-it cost nothing to play-I'm tired of all the big talk after the fight is over-I'm pretty sure Jarule, Hitking & Mexboxingfan1 are down but I'm not so sure about you and carbq1-lets start with this weekend-you make your pick then I'll make mine.

Angulo vs Cintron & Berto vs Urango-who do you have? Come on-lets do this-make your pick-then I'll make mine.

I picked Calzaghe. Lacy has never impressed me.

it depends on who he's fighting. If it's Johnson/Calzaghe yes. I'm not sure about anyone else.

HELL NO!

Chad beat up on Tarver..lol..

Who is Tarver anyway!

I thought Chad's show "Medical Center" was great though.

I never really considered Lacy too serious a threat. He has his "left hook" and not much else. Once that's nullified he got nothing. Kessler on the other hand is solid and Calzaghe does deserve credit for that win at least.

Tarver looked seriously faded in his last fight. I dont think he has the juice to hang with Johnson now. I got Johnson by late TKO.

Johnson says he'd fight Tarver again and Taver said he would fight Johnson in a heart beat-so there you go. Johnson and Tarver split their 2 fights and I know how most of yall think-you think cause Johnson fought a good fights against Dawson and Tarver didn't then Johnson will win-but I'm going for Tarver in this one. Styles make fights-Johnson has his will-Tarver has more skill to go along with his will and I think he'll win the rubber match. Dawson isn't fighting Johnson-so get ready for Tarver/ Johnson 3. Dawson's people want the Allan Green fight and Vice ah versa.

I like Green but Dawson's a big step up in competition-Green hasn't really fought any1-just Miranda and Jaidon Convington and both of them were considered up and comming then. Dawson has a track record of good fighters-Harding-Adamek-Johnson-Tarver 2x-I think Dawson stops Green

Give me a break-Calzaghe fought every swinging dick @ 168 and you're dissing both him & PBF in some sort of package deal. Calzaghe has fought every single so called up and coming new best fighter out there @ his weight.

He was accused of ducking Lacy-Lacy was knocking kats out then before all yall were sayn he was overrated but of course you'll say you were sayn he was overrated back then. Anyway-he gives Lacy a clinic-then he's accused of not wanting the Kessler fight and he gives him a decisive butt whooping also.

Take note-Clazaghe was a underdog in both fights-so I guess that goes to show how much the so called boxing experts know. The dude moves up in weight and in his very 1st fight-he takes on the recognized LHW champ in Hopkins-the haters came back only after Hopkins lost to say Joe beat an old guy.

Then he fights a guy he's always wanted to fight and yall diss that 1 also. I remember about half of yall on this site sayn Jones would beat him-after Jones lost-you didn't get a piece of humble pie-you came back with bullshit like Jones was old.

I was wrong on the Hatton & J.Diaz fights, but I had a piece of humble pie-I was man enough to say I was wrong. Joe dominated a freaking division for a decade and you compare him to a guy that you claim cherry picks opponents-lets get real here people. Maybe that's why Dawson should move down-cause all you and the rest will do is say there weren't any competition in his weight class.

I don't understand anyone who says they luv action fighters but diss Joe-Joe always made his opponents fight-he never ran clinched or held or used plaster in his gloves so whats really going on with this whole Joe Calzaghe issue. How can you say he cherry picked opponents when he dominated 1 division for over a decade?

Never really drew that comparison before. Solid point.

Chad Dawson shouldn't even be fighting on HBO. He seems more like an ESPN level fighter. I am one of the many that thinks Glen Johnson beat him and that he isn't a champion.

Yeah but Clazaghe wouldn't fight any of those guys...Calzaghe is like the PBF of 168 or so. Picks opponents that he thinks he might beat and takes ONE risk, when he fought Kessler.

well Chad's promoter and myself seems to think 168 is the perfect move 4 Chad-f-ck L/H. Who's there-who cares-168 is where it's at-his promoter seems to think so anyway.

Now you have Allan Green-Kessler and others waitn on him. I think it's going 2 happen-I pray it does happen-if it does than 168 is neck & neck with 147.

How could 168 not be huge for his career-u have undefeated champions blown up down there-fighters fans heard of and seen fight-look there's a long list of good fighters @ 168-175 has around 4 guys-with his biggest fight being against B-Hop now honestly how well do you think that fight does on PPV?

If Bad Chad was a draw Hopkins wouldn't be fighting Tito next-Chad doesn't have anyone @ 175 thats going to blow him thru the roof-the shit i'll be just like Calzaghe & B-Hop shit was back in the day-all those title defences with no mega fights.

He could clean out the division but I say so what-go down 2 168 for some super fights. Dawson against anyone down @ 168 with a name is way bigger than the Johnson rematch. Dawson vs Kessler, Froch, Bute, Green, winner of Ward-Miranda-Taylor-shit a fight against Lacy might do just as well or more.

Abraham and Pav will be moving up to 168 soon-shit 168 is hot right now. As hot as it is Calzaghe is still a couple of levels better than all those guys.

Tito was a punching bag for B-Hop in his prime. What more could he possibly do now?

Chad would kill RJJ at this point and going down in weight does nothing for his career. Maybe he fights a couple of these guys if they step up but cleaning out the division is his best career move and taking out the undefeateds is the way to build a rep.
