I was on a boxing site the other day and read that Toney vs. W. Klitschko was a done deal as of August 9, 2008. The fight is scheduled for February, 2009. If Toney is looking at the fight as simply a big payday and doesn't get himself in the best possible shape, he's begging to get hurt. However, even at his best, Toney is way too short for Klitschko and I can't imagine him getting near enough to Wladimir's chin to even pose a remote knockout threat. Come February, Klitschko will jab Toney silly before landing a number of right hand bombs to end the fight no later than round seven. Toney's defensive skills and shortness will keep him in the fight for a while. Still, Wladimir is much too big, well conditioned, and powerful for James Toney.

In all honesty, as much as I like Toney and appreciate his talents, accomplishments, and caustic personality, I'm afraid that he's going to get seriously out-classed and possibly hurt by the much bigger and hard punching Klitschko. Toney vs. Jones II might be an interesting possibility. On the other hand, Toney vs. Klitschko might turn out to be legalized murder. If anything, the fight and its buildup should be very interesting.
Is Klitchko vs Tony a done deal or a fantasy fight for you? Cuz I would really like to see Tony get KTFO!

In all honesty, as much as I like Toney and appreciate his talents, accomplishments, and caustic personality, I'm afraid that he's going to get seriously out-classed and possibly hurt by the much bigger and hard punching Klitschko. Toney vs. Jones II might be an interesting possibility. On the other hand, Toney vs. Klitschko might turn out to be legalized murder. Would not be so quick to say Berto would win. He gits hit and Clottey is strong and very good defensively.. Time will tell about Berto. I like his speed and flashiness but Clottey looks good to me. Tough, good chin, good defense, good enough power. Best thing he dont talk alot of shit about nobody. We can use that in boxing a champion without a big damn mouth.
