We've all had dream match ups that never happened. What were the biggest fights that you dreamed about that just never came together?

you, could be right gun. thing is, it seemed like when he was peaking, he couldnt get a crack at the 140 title so he ended up at 147 where imo he didnt belong. i would have liked to see him get his shot at 140 which i believe he earned with his winning streak there. you feel me? I never saw him fight at 140 but he doesn't look like someone either Judah or Tszyu would have avoided. Or Vince Phillips for that matter. -- "Without 40 ounces of social skills I'm just an ass in the crack of humanity." - Moldy Peaches -

Magellan - Antonio Diaz is overrated. He lost every major fight I ever saw him in.

nobody takes tito's best shot. am gets smoked inside of 2. i thought this thread was for fights that coulda been meaning that there was a real life point in time when the match coulda been made. i know there's a thread somewhere in this forum for fantasy time travel matches. either way am is no match for tito in his prime. imo am is no better than wilfredo rivera was.

A good fight at WW would have been Margarito vs Tito both in there primes. Too bad they missed each other by a few years. That would of been a hullava fight. Margarito wouldn't of ran like ODLH. I think Margarito would have taken Trinidad's best shot and then ware him down just like Cotto. Margarito probably would have KO'd him sooner than Cotto cuz Tito did not box and liked to slug it out which means Margarito would land bombs leading to a KO.

i'm not 100 % but when pryor finally reached the top, i believe wilfredo was already established at 154. yeah, that fight's a stretch. dont forget that leonard went and got a 154 belt from kalule then came right back down to 147. far as i know, benitez at least from the time he beat chiaverini, stayed up at 154. anyone remember the benitez-chiaverini fight on live tv? between rounds angie says to chiaverini, "don't drop your fckin hands!" i guess i'm simple minded but imo it's hilarious when someone swears on live tv and they can't beep it. fights that coulda been- azumah nelson, brian mitchell and john john molina shoulda fought each other in that time they were the 130 champs. i think all 3 woulda been interesting if not good fights. one more, lupe aquino v juan domingo roldan.

As good as Benitez was defensively, I don't think that even he could keep a prime 140lb Pryor off of him for fifteen rounds. I think that a Pryor vs. Duran bout at 1 catchweight of 143lbs would have been a classic. Throw in Chavez versus the winner and boxing fans would have been treated to one heck of an event.

I think Aaron Pryor-Wilfred Benitez would have been a better fight than Pryor-Leonard.

Interesting topic. I would say that Aaron Pryor vs. Sugar Ray Leonard would be the fight I woud have liked to have seen. Pryor has always maintained that Ray wanted no part of him and dodged him. Pryor doesn't get the credit he deserved.
