Max and Lennox developed a pretty good rhythm during the last broadcast. Fran was still on the outside looking in though.

After years of giving Montiel "the business" on this board, calling him a homo, Hoya's gay-lover, and such, I've got to give him props. He stuck his nose in there against a guy with every advantage, and exceptional power, and nearly pulled an upset. He's still a bitch, though.

I think Fran will turn into a punching bag for Max and Lennox eventually.

Max is fine, it's Mr. Stumble Over Every Other Sentence Fran that is a problem. Max is as educated an announcer as you will find... Lennox I think needs some time to get used to broadcasting... I'd be fine with Max and Lennox, with Max as the lead and blow by blow, with occasional guest spots...

Lennox Lewis seems to be the bland one. I believe he values Max' opinoin more than his own at this point in his career as an HBO commentator. -- ah shit son!

When I first saw the new BAD announcing team I thought they'd be great. Lampley is becoming more and more an overpaid cheerleader for any fighter that HBO has under contract. But I was pretty disappointed, first of all the fights both sucked. I like Lennox (as an announcer), but Kellerman was pathetic & the 3rd guy was more bland than a vanilla wafer. Talk about insane overstatements, Max was babbling like a school girl about Williams who did not look all that impressive presenting a problem to Margarito & De La Hoya. Neither of those fights will ever happen, and if they did they wouldn't be even remotely competetive... HBO should cut their losses & just FIRE MAX!!!

as good as gonzalez is, he did lose to ricardo vargas, and vargas is nothing special. still i was dissapointed with both fighters, i expected more. as for williams he gets beat by margarito and needs more work, i wasn't impressed.

I didn't see anybody waiting in the Gonzalez v. Montiel fight except for Montiel. Montiel has a sleek style which can be dynamic at times to see, but here again, we have another counter puncher. At bantamweight you have to be able to bring some action, not just showcase your foot work, roll some punches and do a good job of dodging. Gonzalez hunted Montiel down the whole way. Montiel is an interesting package. He is really quick and smooth, but has NO reach at all, thus no jab to speak of. Good luck in attacking when you can't jab. Gonzalez has some pretty quick hands. I'd like to see him against somebody that can reach him and mix it up more inside. Now I have to ask: Is Williams legit? The second fight looked like a let down because the first fight was so action packed. Williams can flat bring it. His assault was relentless, mixing it up from every angle. He is still not polished, but with his reach, jab and punch output, Williams is a serious prospect. He is hungry and starting to call fighters out. It would be nice to see Margarito give Williams a chance to prove himself. We know Williams has a solid chin. Matthysse popped him with some solid blows, but we still don't know if Williams can take a beating to the body.

the fight was a let down the storm was more like a breeze if that. what were both fighters waiting on? i know montiel is more of a counter puncher but when you have nothing to counter it's up to you to initiate something and i expected more from jhonny. when he did open up he was succesful so why didn't he do more of that. i still had jhonny winning by a couple of points. as for paul williams so what he beat mathysse? he got nailed from a guy with no speed, what's gonna happen when he steps in with margarito? antonio is no speedster himself but he has enough speed to catch williams, and hurt him. williams calling out margarito that was a hoot. he is definitely not ready, i wasn't impressed.
