...Marquez has very bad managers, he was a quality fighter but the management team did not know how to get him the big money fights when he was in his prime.
...the Jaca fight showed me that he has slipped quite a few.

Marquez really needed this Barrera fight, in order for him to earn himself some money.
He lost that opportunity for a big payday, when he refused to fight Pacman and instead decided to ran away, then lost his titles in Indonesia anyway...

Neither Barrera nor Marquez could beat Manny Pacquiao, but they're both official world title-holders, while Pacquiao is not.
However, it isn't necessary for the Pacman to fight both of them, but just patiently wait whoever comes out the winner of the Barrera vs. Marquez match-up, to be inevitably demolished by the Pacman...

hey who do you think barrera is?? he said that he dont want to fight pacquiao because he will be given only 2.5 million and pacquiao will be given 3 million! he said that he is the champion, so barrera must be paid more than pacquiao!! what a ffff barrera, yes he is the champion yet no glory, pacquiao dont need him because pacquiao proved already last november 2003 that he can totaly beat and dominate barrera! as what texasfan3 said, barrera is the one who needs pacquiao. marquez vs barrera for the title bout is nonsense because for now they have no honor. their honor will be regain only if they fight and beat pacquiao AGAIN!!

Pacquio, Barrera, Top Rank, Golden Boy, is this a Circus? GB offering 5 million to Pacquio? Pacman is worth more than that.....if Arum is in Philipines is because something big is going on. Otherwise he will be in Ixtacalco Mexico city offering 5 million to barrera to fight Pacquio (u know Barrera left Forum Boxing for Money like all boxers do) but Barrera is in his Way out. I understand Pacman is smart and wont fight under GB because he does not need Barrera. Everybody knows whos going to win. Pacquio´s got big fights down the road. Who needs this fight? Barrera because he´s almost gone and HBO does not want barrera to do Showcases (for Millons) like the two he had this year. Barrera looks for money not glory. HBO BOXING is for warriors (like Gatti) not for dancers like Barrera. Isnt it HBO BOXING? Lets see what HBO brings to the table next year. Thanks HBO but please dont let Barrera do more Showcases because i wont pay. Texasfan.

Just like Mexican fighters, Filipinos have alot of heart and they don't quit. There's alot of young talented filipino fighters who are eager to get their chance just like Pacquiao. Everybody says Marquez has the best chance of beating Pacquiao, but people forget he hit the canvas 3 times in the first. And back then Manny didn't know how to use his right hand, now look at him.
