with reason yes, but that doesn't excuse it. the guy was a champion for a long time at 140, it's time to shed the warm ups and careful matchmaking.

Cotto and Arum could not possibly be more careful picking their opponents. the fact that they would try to is frightening for boxing fans everywhere. With reason though. I've seen Cotto badly hurt in a few different fights. He's been almost out on his feet at least 3 times, but he did come back to win... He's vulnerable, Hatton's management had some funny things to say about him when Arum accused them of protecting Hatton...

Gentlemen: Please review the attached clip to see a preview of the Baldomir/Mayweather fight. The attached clip of the smaller man defeating the bigger man is as good as it gets; however, I don't see Baldomir having the quickness against Mayweather that Lalonde had against Sugar Ray Leonard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RU-CS7o878A On the flip side, I am not yet sure how Mayweather will weather adversity. No one could come back from adversity better than Sugar Ray Leonard. The good news for Mayweather is that Baldomir will never land any telling blows of the caliber that Lalonde was able to land on Sugar Ray.

My question is: if Margarito-Clottey is indeed the matchup, when does the first low blow occur? I'm guessing 2nd round TOPS. This could be the dirtiest fight of the century!

I don't consider Urkal a major threat in the Welters but wouldn't be a bad first fight for Cotto @ Welter. There's more talent @ Welter than Light Welter; Cotto would have to pick his fights even more carefully.

If Quintana does in fact fight Urkal would it likely be an HBO or Show Time event? Or neither? I don't know if either fighter is signed w/ either company. -- Edited by Hatafree12 at 08/18/2006 4:29 PM

Co-sign!! You couln't put it in better words! Quintana is the land mine of the division! his very crafty! But I doubt he'll fight Margarito! cuz if I'm not wrong I may be but Hatton is steppin down to fight Urango! so Quintana will likely fight Urkal for the vacant title! and place himself in the Top 10

Thanks for the info on his supsension. I didn't know his suspension cuould be lifted/he could fight again that soon...so my proposed Judah v. Tszyu II is back on! But the date has to be adjusted; maybe mid January/early Feb of 07? -- Edited by Hatafree12 at 08/17/2006 9:27 PM
