Why do I always feel bored when I watch the heavyweight fights? Hmmm...
I 'like' W Klitschko, but I question if he is truly recognized as the heavyweight champion of the world. Even his pre & post fight interviews are *yawn* a bit boring. If he drew enough attention to himself, then we'd all have to PPV his fights. Am I right or am I right? Just a question...
We need someone like David Haye in the ring with Klitschko to stir things up. This is the fight I'd like to see especially after Haye called Klitschko out (after his KO win over Maccarinelli).

Shocking...
A KO for kltischko just like I knew was coming and predicted.
The good news for thompson was he landed more punches.
The bad news for klitchko was that 70% of them were while being held, or rabbit punches.
The best news for thompson was that cortez was either oblivious or deliberately letting him get away with it.
And in the end of course it didn't matter because he took too many cleaner, harder, more effective punches.
Joe Cortez should be banned from even entering a boxing arena ever again, even less being allowed to officiate.

As the saying goes "styes make fights".I agree that Wladimir's last two fights were not exactly thrilling but that is largely due to both opponents being southpaws.
In the case of Ibragimov,he likes to box and move around alot-and he has a very good chin.
Thompson negated Wlad's jab with his lead right thru much of the fight,and he's also very durable-takes punches well-but at the same time looks to only survive when in trouble.
These machups are recipes for uninteresting spectacles but on the other hand they were significant wins for Klitschko.
I expect the match with Povetkin to be full of action.

What can you say about Klitschko fighting a bummmm
and looking like crap.That was ridiculous man.That fight was supposed to be a Pavlik vs Lockett style fight with the same outcome.
I'll tell you dude, I like Klitschko but ,I don't like the way he's been fighting.He's not hungry. He's not willing to take any chances, he never flurrys,acts like he's scared to take a shot,measures and paws most of the fight and thats what is making his fights more & more undesireable to watch.The only time he looks descent is when he throws his right cross and that is very limited and only thrown as a left jab right cross or, measure for 10 seconds paw paw then right cross.hardly any combinations.Thats not excitement.
Secondly man, please don't take Klitschkos ctiticism as racial.
Color has nothing to do with Klitchko having poor performances .
Kelly Pavlik for example is the MW champ as well as Arthur Abraham and white.
Your not hearing anyone complain about their performances.
WHY? Because they comes to fight.
Thats all anybody wants to see.
Wlad should at least act like he's interested in fighting.And, stop just giong through the motions and let his hands go.
Only then will people maybe start to recgonize him.
Dude right now he's so undesireable he holds two of the titles and he's not even recgonized as the Champ by The Ring.
Whats that tell you.

This fight sucked-what a waste of time. Emmanuel Stewart is happy he lasted that many rounds before Thompson took a dive. Heavy Weight Champion....NO

Congrats to all you so called boxing fans! Klitschko did what his name totally says. He held every time after one punch or thumbed him to what the so called expert Lampley would say, " He measures him with that left hand!" Crap, the heavyweight division is crap. I guess this is why people are going to MMA. HBO, maybe you should just figure it out and get MMA heavyweights out there and at least when they wrestle, there is actually something going on. This fight should have just never happened and by the way, Joe Cortez who refereed the fight is going down as one of the worst officials. Please find a new job!

This was an exciting fight! Wladimir took some solid shots to the chin; not Corrie Sanders shots, but still tough enough to put to rest the "glass chin" theory all the haters, have. I knew Wladimir would win this fight. He 'redeemed' himself for everyone out there that wasn't satisfied with his fight with Sultan Ibragimov. I can't wait to see him knock out Alexander Povetkin! Wladimir will always come out on top!

You're right he didn't say it-I meant to get on here soon as I noticed but I said the hell with it. Joe has been under fire lately-I didn't think he was as bad as every 1 said he was in the PBF vs Hitman fight, but he was terrible in Soto's last fight-but guess what Joe-he's getting his well due mega match against Pacman anyway.

I will never pay to see a Klinchko fight. The Germans seem to enjoy that crap somehow and show up in large numbers to watch, amazingly.

Better than his last fight, but still I wouldn't pay per view. I can't stand the holding. I don't know why, but it seemed like they had some bad actors at the end of the fight.
