Do you agree with Mayweather? I have to say that I was really impressed with Dawson. When I saw Dawson fight Glenn Johnson I didn't think much of him because I thought Johnson fought great and it could have gone either way. I think the speed of Dawson and his combinations and movement were great. He beat Tarver soundly. Where does Dawson rank on your pound for pound best list?

Logic should of told him he was never an option in Oscar's mind for a fight which is unfortunate but true. DeLaHoya wasn't trying to go thru hell which he would of with Margarito, so he fought Pac and went thru hell. At least with Margarito we might of respected it a little more
I agree for the most with the current posters. I 've always say that Margarito is no different than any other fighter. He's on top and he wants to stay there. Why fight Williams for hard money, when I can get easy money in his mind fighting Mosley and then COtto a guy he already beat.
I agree, Oscar didn't want to get stalked and beat on so he ran and fell into the ring with a maniac. Margarito better be careful he doesn't have a similar fate by fighting Mosley. These older kats know they don't have that much time left so there's somewhat of a desperation to them, look at Pavlik!! Somebody should've let him know. Margarito has a chance to be treated the same, Not a clear cut but whoopin but he'll have a harder time beating Mosley because he knows what to expect.

I can't put Chad Dawson any higher than number 8 now on my list since there are fighters like Manny Pacquiao, Joe Calzaghe, Juan Manuel Marquez, Bernard Hopkins, Israel Vazquez, Antonio Margarito and Ivan Calderon that I would probably put ahead of him. Miguel Cotto and Nonito Donaire would probably round out my list.

He thinks he'll beat the older Mosely and he thinks he has Cotto's number, but if he lose then he's fu-k cause all the guys that want to fight him like Williams and Clotty wont give a damn about him if he lose.
I agree!! If he loses to Mosley then his plan fails and he falls hard as hell to the bottom. Williams and Clotty will be above him and wouldn't need to fight him anymore. The reason he's not looked at as a legit champ to some people or....let me rephrase that. When he won he got a lot of peoples respect but his name hasn't really been pushed to the top by a lot of people because he didn't win with skill, he won with stamina and a good chin. If that's all he has then it won't be long before someone comes along and implements what Cotto started but couldn't finish and he's done. No one wants a fight like that so without a belt he'll be almost invisible to everyone except those up and coming fighters trying to make a name for themselves and people like him. He'll take those fights because he has to get paid or at least market himself in hopes of a bigger payday. If he fights an up and coming fighter and he wins he doesn't gain anything but a notch on the win list. To wrap this all up, He better make sure him and his corner make smart picks on who he fights (not sure they did by picking Mosley!!) because if he fails, he goes right back to where he came from. I'd even start saying he's the most dodged man in the sport again, because he will be, indefinatley!!!

I tell you 1 thing, unlike Juda who get's chance after chance-Margo can't afford to lose once. Cause if he does he's @ in the back of the line again, because no 1 really wants to fight him. He really gambled when he TURNED DOWN THE WILLIAMS FIGHT.

Cotto and Marg are getting big fights while Clotty sits on the shelf. Bottom line-if Marg lose just 1 time-it's back to the yellow brick road for him.

Couldn't agree more. If Margarito wants to prove himself and stop the criticism, he should fight Williams. He should've called him out in the ring after whipping Cotto. That would've made him badass. But, he's not.

He's fighting lesser opponents, well maybe he wouldn't have to if Marg wasn't running, like I said he doesn't want to go thru that shit again.
Margarito is the only fighter on the face of the planet. I guess Santos, Forrest and the rest of these guys are ducking him too. Maybe Pavlik is afraid of him also.

I wouldn't call margo a GREAT boxer. He is more a tough guy. Great boxers don't throw that many looping, amateurish punches and surely don't get hit cleanly over and over with same punches.
I don't recall ever saying that Margarito was a great boxer.

You can label Margo whatever you want by his techniques but hell if it wins fights why not do it. He probably won't be able to form a complete sentence in about 10 or 15 years but if he can get it done right now I guess that's what he plans on doing, I guess!! If his corner sees fit to make him throw different punches then I guess they will but if he keeps putting them down then I would tell him to keep going. It's kinda like when people would play fighting games on playstation or whatever and you had that one person that would keep doing the same thing over and over say like sweep kicking, people would be mad cause he would win like that but I say you make that person change. I'd get in there, block the sweep kick then aaaaruukin!!! Street Fighter fans know what I'm talking about.
