Do you agree with Mayweather? I have to say that I was really impressed with Dawson. When I saw Dawson fight Glenn Johnson I didn't think much of him because I thought Johnson fought great and it could have gone either way. I think the speed of Dawson and his combinations and movement were great. He beat Tarver soundly. Where does Dawson rank on your pound for pound best list?

Your exactly right g-ways. Floyd is crunching at the bit to get a piece of the action. Oscar is outworking him again and that sticks in his craw. He'll wait for the perfect opportunity and come back to cash in on another 20 mil. He'll wait for the other fighters to take each other out and pick up the leavings.
One thing - I don't think you can assume that Oscar beats Marg. That's not a safe bet or an easy fight. I doubt Oscar will add that fight to his resume. He might go for Floyd again cuz he knows Floyd can't hurt him and brings in the money. Low risk high reward. That's Oscar. Not exactly the same guy who endeared himself to the fans these past years.

Yep, I think you got it, & PACMAN doesn't have to win, just perform in a decent manner. The truth is, & hate won't let people admit, but other then "Money", nobody is really touching ODLH at 147. Due to the questionable fights he's had recently, people forget the work ODLH has put in. If oscar is a healthy 147, he's no easy out. He'll beat PACMAN, then MARG. "MONEY" will come back, the wildcard is HATTON, & what kinda showing he has against paulie. With HATTON, now fighting for Golden Boy, & Golden Boy owing a piece of PACMAN, that fight is to rich for Bob, & Oscar not to let them fight before they will even be in a position to need "Money" to the point of paying him the type of money he will demand. I know "Money" has to be sitting around pissed at how he played himself by leaving on top, cause if he wasn't.....he wouldn't be doing things to try to keep his name out there. That's my dude, but I think he might be getting a reality check.

you guys must see whats about to happen.......if and thats a big IF pacman beats delahoya then it would set up a super mega ppv fight with mayweather....i think that would be a great fight because floyd is really a 140 pound fighter and they both have great speed........im personally a mayweather fan no matter what.....

yes they are friends and yes they are using mayweather's name for promotional purposes only. i really do think may will be back (@140 imo), he has too much skill. Dawson has the potential of being p4p king but it was just a way to get Dawson's name out there in the mix. Job well done if u ask me

Wow, for someone to hate racist, you should work at not sounding like one.....
It doesn't strike anyone as odd that even retired many still covet this man's conversation!!!
Mayweather fought up, and collected belts how many of your favorite fighters did that?
I still can't agree with what he said about Dawson though, beating Tarver (who was NEVER legit), and Johnson was kinda like paying child support, something Dawson was suppose to do.
Maybe Mayweather, and Dawson are friends, and Mayweather is playing the name association game, trying to get his buddy some real fights, that's the only thing that really makes sense.
Lighten up "Money" haters, don't worry, you haven't seen the last of "MONEYMAKER", he'll be back.

GunRunner2, I don't know if you remember or not, but Calzaghe was the underdog in the Lacy fight. I watch boxing faithfully and I can honestly say the only fight I've seen prior to the Lacy fight was a replay of his fight against Mitchell.
Calzaghe didn't get any tv shine before that. So if all we see is Lacy knocking guys out and 1 little replay of Calzaghe in a 2 round fight getting dropped I really can't see the majority of fans pulling for Joe.
Even when he fought Kesslor fans thought Kesslor would beat him, especially on this site and 1 fight against a straight 4ward head 1st fighter persuaded them to go against Joe again.
Joe had several Showtime appearances prior to the Lacy fight. I had seen him many times and so had my bros. We all knew how one dimensional Lacy was. I didn't think it would be quite the asswhoopin it turned out to be but I didn't believe Lacy could pull it off either.

Mayweather can say whatever he wants, he's retired. I've been watching Dawson for sometime. He has potential but he has quite a way to becoming a P4P fighter. Skillwise, he's on his way to the P4P list but to say that he's the best P4P fighter, is a far stretch. A win over anyone of them, Pavlik, Calzaghe or Roy Jones Jr., would get him the recognition, that he needs, to become a P4P fighter.

From what I remember it was somewhat split for Kessler and Joe C. The people for Kessler were just louder. I was undecided but eventually picked Joe. I never liked Lacy really. He was just to slow and average to me.

What's up hitking, haven't heard from you in awhile. Anyway, why does Dawson have to beat both Pav and Calzaghe? Dawson has Adamek, Johnson and Tarver on his record, Pavlik has McKart, Miranda and Taylor on his, maybe Pavlik needs to fight him-politics man, politics

I don't think he is the best p4p, in fact I don't think he is the best light heavy. He beat up a shot Tarver, but the former magic man has been shot since losing to B Hop.
And many people, including myself feel that he lost to Glen Johnson.

I don't think a move to cruiserweight is necessay. The division is better now, but it still is pretty much a wasteland. Since I think Pavlik and Calzage will win there upcoming fights Iwould like to see him beat both of them and then we'll see what happends. If he is going to move up, he might as well go up to heavyweight because nobody ever has, or ever will care about the cruiserweight division.
