Is there any fighter that you'd like to see Hatton go up against? I've heard things about him taking on the winner of Pacquiao De La Hoya? are there any other names out there of fighters you would want to see him fight? I personally feel that Pacquiao would be a big problem for him. I don't know about De La Hoya but I'm thinking the size difference might be a problem.

Brits and Filipinos alike will travel either corner of the world to watch their favorite boxer. If held in the Philippines, Ricky should worry more about being ko'd by the humidity. You guys just dont know about humidity til you've visited the Philippines! He needs to have a separate training camp for the humidity alone. Lol! Fine by me, but what is making happy-go-lucky Hatton so surly about the terms of pay...I mean, I don't think he wants it...you'd think he'd be chomping at the bit to fight a naturally smaller man (ooops, but so was Oscar!) -- http://www.fightinsight.com/2008/12/16/valuev-will-beat-holyfield-but-is-not-the-real-deal/

The Phillipino's could play host ( How many have $$$$ to go to Britain? ) They probably would have to use a football stadium. Then again, the Casino's would make more money & not care about the fans.

I highly doubt ricky hatton doesnt wanna fight pacquiao. hatton is not one to shy away from a challenge. he has never turned his back to anyone. he was the only one that had the balls to take on kostya tszyu when he was on top. hatton said in an interview that he really wants to fight the best out there and the best right now he says is manny pacquiao but he also said that if floyd mayweather decides to come out of retirement then he might beat hatton to a fight with pacquiao! so i guess we will c wut happens.

[/b Hitman targets Pacman (sort of)! Wednesday, December 17 2008 Ricky Hatton's lawyer Gareth Williams says Hatton is interested in a showdown with P4P king Manny Pacquiao, but only under the Hatton Camp's terms. "Every light welterweight in the world wants to fight Hatton," Williams told PA Sport. "We've had approaches from everybody. We've also had approaches from people at 130 pounds, Juan (Manuel) Marquez and Juan Diaz both want to fight him. He is a massive draw and can fight where he wants. We've also had approaches from Mayweather to have a rematch with him. He wants to fight Ricky. But the fight we want to make, our preference, is Manny Pacquiao because we think that is a great fight. Ricky has made no secret of the fact he wants to take on the best and Pacquiao is regarded as the best....but it has to be on our terms. We won't be bullied or forced into any decision that is not on our terms Stay tune for the terms. What are those terms? Could it be the $$ split,venue,refs.,judges,gloves,ring/glove size,PPV revenue, outerwear, theme song, announcers,...ah let's wait. Mayweather wants a rematch. Isn't Mayweather retire? -- ShowDaBoxing -- Edited by ShowDaBoxing at 12/17/2008 10:50 AM PST -- Edited by ShowDaBoxing at 12/17/2008 12:48 PM PST

WOW GUYS I GOT BIG AND VERY SURPRISING NEWS!!!! I was watching a british sports telecast earlier and rumors have began to boil that Erik Morales is looking to call out of retirement Prince Naseem Hamed!!! I cant believe that. I would watch the fight just becuz i think we all wanted to see it years ago. not to mention the prince naseem entrances were always very entertaining. i know this isnt a very interesting fight and doesnt mean much. but i guess i would watch it becuz it would give us boxing fans some kind of closure on prince naseem. he has to be up there with mike tyson as one of the biggest waste of talent. if he were to come back and beat morales it would a good ending to the bad one he currently has

Not sure if Cotto could get back down to 140...he was looking real weak at that weight before he left the division...his chin has been apparently sturdier at 147...even if you watch the Margarito fight, he was more beat down than easily wobbled. But I digress. I'm not sure he can withstand the punishment from the big WW's either. And he would be strong enough to fight Manny imo who is a naturally smaller man.

Cotto might be better off at 140 tho. He could fight Manny after he manhandles Hatton. That would be a superfight.
