Do you think the best boxing/fighting movie has been made yet?

There are a ton of movies that people look at as their all time favorite. I'm just curious if we'll see anything that can top these in the future. What are your thoughts?

> The movie, Out For Justice, starring Steven Seagal, had the best fight scene I have ever seen in a movie. When his character, Gino, a Brooklyn police officer cleaned house in a bar owned by Richie, his arch-nemesis, the fighting scenes and dialogue were a thing of beauty. The movie was decent; the bar scene was awesome.

Oh man, now I'm going to see if I can dig out my old VHS tape of this and watch it tonight... Damn fine scene.

ee calling fat city. yeah i love that flick man. fat city. damn ee. question for the other couple of posters, why would you waste a second even thinking about will smith as ali when the ali story's already been made starring the greatest himself? you should be able to find it on disc somewhere. it's titled "the greatest". if you aint seen it and you wanna be a fight fan, go get it. has anyone out there seen 'ali skill brains and guts'?

yeah will smith did do a good job but the movie wasnt that good. it became a movie about black rights and just seem to add in Ali. plus they should of put in more of his fights.

and in the rocky marciano movie they focused way too much on the joe louis fight and didnt even show rockys best performances

hell no its a great market for movies

HEY FELLAS and ladies check out the documentery ON THE ROPES if you havent yet
ITS a great movie, sad too but great.

I think if a movie about Ray Robinson is made honestly portraying his as both an AHOLE and a benefector that movie would be sick.

its an almost endless pool

I'd like to see a movie of Pernell Whitaker or Joe Lewis.

I've said it before, I'll said it again, as long as no one chooses 'Meatballs 2' as their favorite boxing movie, I'm fine. :)

Yeah Susan, I thought the last Rocky movie was great! It did a really nice job of taking you back to the original Rocky I, which is the best boxing movie I've seen. It was also realistic considering George Foreman was able to resurrect a career at his advanced age.

Others I like: Million Dollar Baby, Cinderella Man, Play it to the Bone, hmm... are there any others.

What about the ring side girls??
Since 1990's I remember HBO used to minimize the screen to show the corner and fighter while the beautiful models reminded us of what round it was. How many of you guys like to be reminded again?
