Only a couple more weeks remain before the fight. There are two 24/7s under foot and two more to go. Do you think Manny will be able to handle the weight? Do you think Oscar can "pull the trigger?"

First of all cotto did not have margarito the whole fight. cotto did seem to control the fight until about the middle of round 5. then margarito started coming on very strong. he dominated the 7th. and from there it was a cake walk. and i to would like to know y the former most feared man in boxing turned most scared man in boxing wont fight clottey or williams. I can somewhat understand not wanting to fight clottey. he isnt that a big of a name and his only real quality win was against judah which doesnt count for much these days. champions are suppose to fight the best opponent for the best money. and clottey just doesnt fit into that. i do think the margarito mosley fight is going to be good. and could go either way depending on if mosley can conserve enough energy in the early round to hold off margaritos second half attack. But the thing that gets me is that he turned down a rematch with paul williams with a $6 million dollar purse to fight mosley for a $2 million dollar purse. sounds to me like paul williams took alot more then from margarito then just his belt and his nick name...he may have took his balls to!!!

Oscar needs to sit back and just collect checks as a promoter...it's not worth losing brain cells over - him still fighting. I said as much. He's done. I was watching his fight with Sweet Pea earlier today. He's not that fighter anymore.

JohnKay - It makes a lot of sense. A loss doesn't hurt Oscar financially. He made his mint from the Pac fight and now he stands to make some big mint from a Pac/Hatton fight. It's shrewd. A bit obvious but shrewd.

Is Hatton promoted by Golden Boy? He signed on with GBP March, 2008. -- *Chanting* There's only one Ricky Hatton, one Ricky Hatton! Walking along, singing a song, walking in a Hatton wonderland! wink...

I saw the fight and do not buy Hatton/PAC. Complete set up!!! Please ODLH go away frrom boxing he is worse than King. "You're right I don't have it" to Roach. Did you box like Tito, Floyd, Vargas, Chavez, Parnell. Fuck off....He puched and pulled every punch and did not move at all. Even his muscle memory would have made movement possible. FIX FIX FIX. Bullshit Bullshit. Glad he was TKO'ed though. Hey Pac beat him faster thaq Hop maybe Pc and Hop should fight next!!!! Give me a fucking break... Oscar is only concerned about profit... Is Hatton promoted by Golden Boy? If not then, how does Oscar profit from a Pacquiao/Hatton fight? AND, what does Oscar get by 'FIXING' a fight to stick his head out there to be pummeled? It does not make sense at all, man. Is your head 'FIXED'?

That's not all true, Mayweather moved up to Oscars div @ 154 and took his title and earned 8 figures in the process. It could be said Pac and mayweather had everything to gain they made some huge figures off of ODLH name.IMO Oscar sold his soul and Legacy for $ but, I guess in 100 years nobody will care anyways and his grandchildrens grandchildren could probably live good from his Wealth. But,In Boxings Legacy Oscar will be remembered for His huge $ fights but will never be mentioned like Hagler,Leonard,Hearns,or Duran.Just for the $ he drew. Oscar made money true enough but looked real bad doing it. Something is up with this fight. Manny beat Oscar way too easily. Manny had harder fights with Morales, Barrera, and Marquez. Oscar looked very, very, slow, weak, and just overall amateurish. If that is really the best Oscar can do, then he should call it quits. Margarito does not want anything to do with Williams, or he would fight him already. Would be fun to watch Manny vs Margarito. Based on Manny's perfomance against Oscar, hell he can probably do about anything in the ring. If he can take Margarito's punch I see no reason why he could not win that fight. -- Douglas

The true winner in the Pacquiao vs De La Hoya fight is of course the golden boy himself. And how about the Mayweather vs Dela Hoya? It is no different and Oscar absolutely still is the winner. The pay is too huge for him to say no and he got the price he asked so, sure, no problem, 147 is not his division but what the heck, why would he turn down these huge huge pays? So at 147 he became vulnerable to Pacquiao and Mayweather. And he loves to fight so why not try to give them an upset right?
