Only a couple more weeks remain before the fight. There are two 24/7s under foot and two more to go. Do you think Manny will be able to handle the weight? Do you think Oscar can "pull the trigger?"

i think the only loser in this fight will be oscar.. i he wins hes supposed too! if he loses he once again loses a big fight.. i look back lately at oscar what has he done?? NOTHING!! why is he still selling big gates is beyond me.. that tells you how much the average boxing fan pays attention to whats happened in the ring .. id much rather see valero vs manny.. i hope manny knocks oscar out and do it with a bodyshot!!

But do you not think if de la Hoya becomes fatigue, and losses a little pop on his punches, that Pac starts to let his hands go a little more and sit down on his punches?

Do you know how many people ODLH is going to let down if he doesn't win? Did you guys check out the weigh in ODLH had George Lopez their and a hand full of boxing legends, It suck to say but I think Pacquiao is going to win.

omething fishy going on at the ODLH camp but it doesn't matter, as Team Pacquiao loves to eat fish! 1) De La Hoya who was expected to struggle and lose his power coming down to 147, has surprisingly weighed-in at 145. Why should he do that? Before this weigh-in issue surfaced, I already posted that the scale must be off or rigged by 5 pounds because it's unlikely that Oscar would even go below 147 lbs: viewtopic.php?f=98&t=117303&p=2702882&hilit=#p2702882 2) Pacquiao who weighed-in at 146 in his suite an hour before, surprisingly came in at 142. Getting back to his room after, he weighed 145.5. 3) There was a report that the official weigh-in of ODLH and Pac was delayed (enough time to make make weight and rig the scale?). 4) While waiting for the weigh-in, De La Hoya was seen sitting down on a stool while an assistant stood beside him holding a bottle of water uncapping and capping it inches away from De La Hoya's face (sign of last minute struggle with his weight?). 5) A few days earlier when both teams met at the UNLV track, De La Hoya seems to be wearing a raincoat under his sweatshirt with the hood over his head when he jogged around the oval (boxers wear raincoats to sweat profusely when trying to lose weight fast). 6) Ariza noticed something wrong with the way De La Hoya jogged especially when he stopped after only 6 laps. Pacquiao did 13 laps hardly panting. 7) Today, Valero came out to say De La Hoya DIDN'T TRAIN HARD and DOESN'T LIKE TO RUN. He also said that he caused ODLH's blackeye contrary to what Oscar said that it was Ortiz who did it.

dont worry if pacman is in the card you'll get what you pay for... he is a fighter who don't back down and always give what he got so you won't be disappointed not like other PBF that is a very defensive player and that is makes him a very boring not entertaining fighter.... THIS MATCH should be very entertaining compare to the match of ODLH and PBF where it yawn me to death... Remember THE most exciting fighter in boxing right now is Pacquiao!

I don't know what Pacman was thinking when he signed up for tonight?s fight. De la Hoya is becoming washed up as a fighter and he will prove nothing if he beats Oscar. This is a fight for money reminiscent of the de la Hoya Chavez fight. Manny's promoters should put talent that is in its prime in the ring with Pacman, and not put him in harms way for a fat paycheck. I was a fan of Oscars in the 90's and early 00's and as a fan I know what he was and what he no longer is. I predict that Oscar will win, but he will not reclaim his status as a fighter in my eyes. He is just beating up a smaller opponent. In all honesty I don't know who I prefer to win. I'm just hoping I can catch a good fight and not some rip off prize fight. I am getting tired of having to defend my favorite sport. I hope HBO boxing does not disappoint me again.

Largley becasue it's a new sport and the skill level is very LOW . No other sport can do the TV thing and get World champs somehow MMA does???? Shamrock sucked and always sucked becasue their was no real competition he appeared good. ODLH is not unskilled he's actually a very good boxer. You can't name a fighter that Manny has fought that is closed to the level of ODLH and he's BIGGER and faster than any of PAC's last oppenents. This is why the fight was made PAC huge draw---130 LBS ODLH even bigger draw 154LBS (I'm I missing something). Dumb asses from around the world buying the hype $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I don't know if Pac will have the power to KD de la Hoya. But, I can definitely see a senerio where de la Hoya is taking a lot of punishment in the late rounds and either the ref, the doctor, or Nacho saves him.

I never like to judge a boxer's pain tolerance, since I have never fought in a ring (besides a few minutes goofing around w/head gear), but in all my years watching fights that Hopkins KO stoppage looked kinda fishy. -- http://www.fightinsight.com/2008/11/30/de-la-hoya-vs-pacquiao-a-superfight-in-name-only/

There's really no way of telling. I was just playing devil's advocate. The punch really wasn't that sharp, it actually looked more like a push. B-Hop had really started to take control of that fight. And, with B-Hop's reputation of giving guys long, drwn out beatdowns. And de la Hoya's reputation of being a smart businessman, look at tonight's fight. De la Hoya may have simply said "screw it" and sped up the inevitable. If he did, I think it was a smart business decision. Why get beat up for 3 or 4 rounds, when your not going to win the fight anyway.
