What do you think of De La Hoya vs. Pacquiao?

Only a couple more weeks remain before the fight. There are two 24/7s under foot and two more to go.

Do you think Manny will be able to handle the weight? Do you think Oscar can "pull the trigger?"

I think this fight is a joke but at the same time i will still watch it because both fighters are coming to fight. neither of them has ever backed down from a challenge and it will be an action packed fight for however long it last. I do agree that pacquiao is outmatched but it will b amazing if he pulls it off.

The most INSANE, BS, MONEY EARNER, F*ckin fight Oscar has created!

No! After I saw Brock Lesnar beat Couture!
No! After Pavlik going at LHW and schooled by B-Hop!
No! After Cotto lost at 147!

I think Manny has the slimmest chance of winning over a very money driven OSCAR! Oscar is too BIG! And have not even reached the age where Calzaghe is! Manny beating Oscar would be a 5/100. Still have a chance but very slim! Its a Herculean TASK Manny has to face!

I think Manny is going to shock the world by beating Oscar. Oscar is past him prime and will not have the speed to catch Manny. Oscar has the power to KO Manny with 1 punch but Manny will see his punches coming & will not just stand there & get whacked. Manny will land more blows and at the end will get the decision.

If Oscar wants to put on freak shows...he should put on his fishnet stockings, lipstick, high-heels and hit the street corners.......a Boxing ring is not the place for his freakish carnival shows.

But it is the place for the copy cat Mayweather Circus freak show? Double Standard much?

This fight is a sham...a farce ... a facade....

Oscar DeLahoya should be ashamed of himself.....I understand that he's in the twilight of his career, but digging sooooo far down into the light-weights to find an opponent....is just PUNKISH.

Of course DeLaHoya can still "pull the trigger". Didn't you see his two young children on the last 24/7 episode?

I think this fight is terrible. I have lost alot of respect for DeLa Hoya. He was once among boxings pound for pound and easily one of the most exciting fighters of our generation. He is the former welterweight champion and swears that he wishes to fight the best fighters in the world. The division is riddled with talent at this time...Antonio Margarito,Shane Mosley,Joshua Clottley,Paul Williams,Carlos Quitana, Demarcus Corley and of course Miguel Cotto. Any one of those fighters would prove to be a formidable opponent and many of them warrant a big payday and recognition. Why is he looking south for competition? Pacquio is at least 25 lbs smaller than him and has his own business at his weight to deal with (J.M Marquez, Julio Diaz, Juan Diaz and of course Nate Campbell) before he should even have attempted this disgrace. This is bad for boxing;should not be on PPV and should have not even been signed. I hopr DeLaHoya gets pounded on for not having the cahones that he once had and taking on someone on his own size.

If Oscar wanted to fulfill his wish of having fought the best, he needs to look no further than Margarito who would love the paycheck. While Manny is a perfectly adequate opponent pound for pound, it's just silly for Oscar to make such a big deal out of this cash cow situation when the star-studded Welterweight division already has plenty of talent that he can contend with. I don't see how this is anything but a safe business move on his part. Once again it's no disrespect to Manny who I'm sure will do just fine on the 6th, but there are already people at Welterweight who doesn't need to make up for the inherent weight difference in order to be competitive. The best should be able to fight without any handicaps involved, right?

Oscar's current (and surrounding) weight-class is LOADED with talented, meaningful fights.....Yet - he choses the little guy, that won't embarass his ass too much.

If Oscar wants to put on freak shows...he should put on his fishnet stockings, lipstick, high-heels and hit the street corners.......a Boxing ring is not the place for his freakish carnival shows.
