I think JMarquez is going to win and I am rooting for him. I think he is the better boxer than Diaz, although I do feel Juan Diaz is a very good fighter. Marquez definitely deserves more credit than he recieves but I feel he has done more lately than Pac for sure, but Pac desrves his credit as well. Anyways I think Marquez will outbox Diaz but it will be a very crowd pleasing fight. Go Marquez but I do like Diaz and I think he brawls a little more than he should .

I find it kinda ironic that for a guy like Juan Manuel Marquez, who fought in the shadows of Mexican legends like Marco Antonio Barerra and Erik Morales for the better part of his career, he is still chasing P4P King Manny Pacquaio. The reason Marquez moved from featherweight, to 130, and now to lightweight is to chase down these bigger stars. I think its kinda unfair that you'll find several people who feel Marquez holds two victories over Pacquaio, one as recent as last year. And Pacquaio has risen to superstar status and the unquesioned P4P King based on victories over a B class fighter in David Diaz and an washed-up Oscar de la Hoya. Marquez has his hands full here in a couple hours, and a victory is far from a given. But say he is sucessful in defending his lightweight title, this could be his last fight in a brief stint at lightweight. In order to get the superfights he craves, he will eventually have to go to 140, or maybe even welterweight. I'm rooting for the guy. For a guy who may go down in some people's minds as the best of this great era of featherweights that included himself, Pacquaio, Barerra, Morales, and Hamed I want to see him get his signature victory. But, for a guy who's always been a bridesmaid, it is very likely he will loss his title tonight in a big, but not superfight. Or, he'll be forced to take on a much larger man to get his superfight and be destroyed. Its a crime, because this guy deserves his moment.

Outta 24 rounds against Pacquaio, it wouldn't be far-fetched to say Marquez won 18. The only problem is, he hasn't been able to stay on his feet. You right about Pac mannmann. He is my favorite fighter, but he is one diminsional. That diminsion is so dynamic that he has been able to reach the absoulte highest level you can in boxing as the unquestioned P4P King. That being said, he is a one trick pony. That's why he has so much trouble with a tachnically sound counter puncher like Marquez.

Maybe I missed something I didn't know Manny gave JMM angles-all I saw was a fast fighter with good power relyn on his reflexes 2 dart in and out-his shit was more like str8 lines 2 me. Diaz doesn't slap w/ his punches, he's just not a hard puncher. I just finish watchn the JMM vs Casa fight-I thought that was a very competitive fight-Casa was tryn 2 bring it. Look bottom line-I see Diaz winning-but it's a close call 2 me.

I got to go with marquez because he's the more technically skilled of the two. I also think he will be a great deal faster in only his 2nd fight coming from a lighter weight. he's fought guy's like manny who you could say he won both of those fights. but thats a whole other argument. diaz has good stamina but he slaps with his punches which gives him no power. There styles make for a great fight. diaz does not give any angles like manny did so you can just imagine the outcome of this fight. but you never know when your fighting a fighter with great conditioning anything could happen.

The person that comes forward the whole fight is known as the "Aggressor"; hence the reason why I say Diaz's "aggression", as he will be the one coming forward. I didn't mean he's all aggression and no skill.........

As you know, I think Pac KOs Hatton. I was actually hoping to see him go after a Cotto-Mosley II winner. Since it looks like Cotto is going in a different direction, maybe Pac could just go after Mosley of he gets past Hatton.

I'm excited. I'm also stoked to see Chris John make his American debut. Is HBO trying to set up John-Marquez II? I think John-R. Marquez is a good storyline also. Little brother moving up in weight to avenge his brother's defeat.
