I like his KO to win ratio of 18 knockouts in 20 wins with no defeats but I'm not sure what to make of him. Is he overrated? Is he someone that people would pay to watch fight? I'd like to know your thoughts on him.

good point about being overrated. i was always like, yeah so he beat adamek. big deal. who had adamek beaten. no doubt dawson has skills but just dont have the chin. and my friend soon it's gonna let him down like gluves let down ct3 when he said he's a world class salad tosser. haha.

Dawson's a little overrated. But I still think that he beats Johnson easier the second tiem around.

haha only he don't puss out of a fight like natty did. again you can say your momma don't dance and your daddy don't rock and roll, but the fact is glen is one hell of a fighter he actually beat dawson, but once again got screwed. come on bro you know it as well as i do. dawson got taken to hell and back by that 40 year old fighter, so if you look at it from that stand point what does that say about dawson.

> interesting, but isn't that what they said about > johnson and look what happened there. by any account > glen beats dawson so we should be looking forward to > johnson/cloud. Johnson's had a very fortunate run at the end of his career. He caught a RJ who was further gone than we knew. He won his title from an Antonio Tarver who ended up being an overrated, good fighter, who had the ability to beat a great fighter. And he's been fortunate to fight in a division with a lot of old guys. Because he's been a light heavy for such a long time, we tend to forget that he spent the majority of his career as a journeyman, hard luck fighter. He's the light heavyweight Nate Campbell.

That's a possiblity. But I think a better possiblity is Dawson boxing a guy who's three inches shorter, slower, and not nearly a good a technical boxer.

tru but i see him stopping dawson if they fought next year. dawson was hurt many times by glen johnson who is strong but not a big puncher and i believe he was dropped by adamek. if cloudy lands on dawson, chad goes down and out.

People talk about him as if he's a P4P elite, and I think it has a lot to do with Mayweather calling him the P4P best during one of Dawson's fights. I think he would be a tough matchup for Cloud because he's taller, faster, and technically better. But, Dawson has a tendacy to fall asleep in fights he's winning and he does have a questionable beard. I could easily see Dawson dominating Cloud for 4 or 5 rounds, fall asleep, get swarmed, get hurt, and get stopped in afight with Cloud.

Hit, what do you think of his chin? I know Woods was quality so for him to beat him, I thought that was a good sign for the division. I also recall Dawson not fighting him because the payday would be crap so that's why he ended up taking the Johnson rematch which in my opinion was way over due! I would like to see some good matchups in this division and this guy intrigues me because of the record and knockouts he's had. I don't think Dawson has much of a chin so it could be interesting if they fought.

I think he's a player in the light heavyweight division. He's a little smallish for the division. He's not that technically sound, and he's easy as hell to hit. But, he has a ridiculous workrate for a light heavy and I think he has decent power. Woods has a good beard, and Cloud had him on queer street. Will he be able to handle the taller, more technically sound fighters like B-Hop and Dawson? My better judgement says no. But, we do know that B-Hop can be outworked and I think Dawson can be outworked too. I would love to see Cloud in the the Dawson-Johnson II loser. But, if he can't get that fight, I think a RJ or Tarver fight would be a good progression fight for him. -- Edited by hitking60 at 08/31/2009 8:41 AM PDT
