Realspazy or is it Realspastic, joe could beat anyone and you would still say he had to beat another or the next new kid on the block would tear up his ass. The same with Hatton. I think you having real difficulty coping with decent british fighters who are starting gain respect in the USA from the real boxing fans. Im sure you wouldnt call Calzagay that to his face, I can recommend a good shrink, your gonna need it in 2009. Sensetalk good post mate.

>Joe CalzaGAY and Julio Cesar Chaves Jr are on same level!< Spicy, you are starting to get way out there . A comment like that is not only disrespecting Joe C but is an insult to the entire Sport IMO. The more you make comments like this , the more anybody is least likely to take you seriously. of course it is just a joke that would make CalzaGAY fans >>> <<< . I just want to see how CalzaGAY fans defend their idols! And you know what? It always makes me laugh... Its like this! Me + making BS about CalzaGAY + CalzaGAY fans = Laugh Sorry but I just cant help it making fun of CalzaGAY's fan! OK! I now apologize to Calza"GHE" fans for being such an hater of Calzaghe! The thing is I just think THERE are BIG BUNCH of better fighter out there than CalzaGAY ( sorry again) that displays bravery and didnt mind the RISK fighting BETTER OPPONENTS to PROVE he is The Best or really better! I remember someone said Calzaghe is too cautious for choosing his opponents which I think that perfectly fits the description of CalzaGAY! Lastly about Calzaghe.... Calzaghe is a good fighter!!!! Better than a number of other fighter!!!! But definitely NOT THE BEST! Hatton is a good fighter until he fought a "REAL" opponent( Floyd) that caused him a lost!!! I say Calzaghe is no better than Hatton! If Calzaghe had fought a REAL opponent then he would have same faith as Hatton( when Hatton had fought Floyd). Too Captious! -- ________________________ If your achievement were already archived by others, what you have gained is a little part of the achievement that others have already achieved... Hatton is even better than CalzaGAY since Hatton fought a real opponent named Floyd Mayweather! Joe CalzaGAY and Julio Cesar Chaves Jr are on same level! -- ________________________ If your achievement were already archived by others, what you have gained is a little part of the achievement that others have already achieved... I have been a fan of the past 24/7, but just couldn't get into this particular series or fight for that matter.

NEWSFLASH!! there are no american contenders for calzaghe here to fight, hes beat them all... i dont want to hear chad dawson! he couldnt handle pressure from glen johnson what would calzaghe's pressure do?the reason the old contenders can hang around cause they beat the young ones..heavyweight lightheavy our fight game has fallen so far downhill just like our economy and may never return..i hear people talk about roy, calzaghe would beat him in his prime also..the reason he would have to fight for 12 long rounds with no chances to restthats what had an effect on hopkins... one must understand these guys like to fight at a slow pace he knew that...if youre out there calzghe retire you dont have nothing else to prove!!!these dudes want you to fight the entire country until you lose LMAO!!! i agree with everything you say..your right on the money.... and as for featherfists they knocked lacy on his ass two or three times and left him badly enough beaten to where he never has been the same...and he sure did hurt jones plenty of times in that fight...that was just pride that kept him standing.....and how do you hurt a guy or even land a punch on someone who holds you everytime your looking to unleash.....speaking off hand...i am a big jermain taylor fan...because of his boxing skills and his willingness to take chances..but i have to give him a thumbs down on his fight against lacy...he looked like hopkins anyways very dissapointed that the refs didnt take points from him for all that holding...now back to calzaghe he might not have the crunch that johnson has...but he does have power and what ever power he lacks he makres up in stamina and punch output.....and mad skills defensively and offensively...i wouldnt mind seeing him whoop dawson....just to see what excuses these clowns would make then....

Johnson pressure is backed by heavy hands, Calzaghe's pressure is backed by feather fists. That's the main difference. Calzaghe has shown and proven (no argument here), but I wouldn't whisk away Dawson's excellent foot and hand speed as well as reach. Styles make fights homie. -- http://www.fightinsight.com/2008/11/17/hatton-will-chase-down-malignaggi-over-twelve/

*** Didn't Lacey fight Calzaghe and wasn't the Lacey/Taylor fight weight @ 168lbs.? Also Lite-heavy has a max of 178lbs; so whats a 10lb. difference for a Taylor/Calzaghe fight? Nothing thats what! It probably would be a good boxing match with plenty of leather to spare afterwards. Much more exciting than a Dawson/Calzaghe fight, besides Joe C. seems ready to hang up the gloves anyway. So, it's smart to go for the biggest buck with the less amount of caladeral damage attached @ his age. *** ******************************************* No way is Taylor ready for 175. Just because he can beat Lacy at 168. That don't mean much. I gotta see how he stacks up against a real SMW before I give him the nod to move up. He does have the goods to do some work at 168 tho.

LOL. Byron Mitchell!! The fact that you use him to make your case only solidifies my point that you don't understand who the real competition is....or won't admit it. And Charles Brewer was garbage too....although till this day i still think he beat Sven Ottke the first time and quite possibly the second time too. Brewer won that IBF title when it was vacant by knocking out a complete chump, Ballard. Jeff Lacy was just a rookie with heavy hands. He fooled the boxing press, but he didn't fool me. I knew Calzaghe would destroy him, but not becaue Joe was awesome, but because Lacy was a farce. He was fighting chumps himself....just like Joe had been. And you are right, there have been some British greats....and PLENTY of South American greats too. But they were the ones that spent their time concentrating on fighters on American soil....like Lewis, for instance. Calzaghe only started doing that very recently, but against our "old" heroes, not our real contenders.

LEWY I aint missing any point by the way whilst you swear and mock you missed the FACT calzaghe has beaten many american fighters including world champs like byron mitchell and charles brewer, also yank will mcyntyre and world champ undefeated jeff lacy whislt I acknowledge america has the best boxing pedigree over the century. there have been some great european fighters and south american greats too and calzaghe is one of these european greats the fact kessler or eubank (who beat many americans) are from europe doesnt matter. they are great fighters. so you are simply wrong

thanx wales. i remember reading that eubanks had gotten front row seats at a streisand concert and came late. according to the story, the concert would not begin until the front row was full so in essence, eubanks caused the show to be delayed and when he finally got to his seat, he said something like 'tell barbara i'm ready now' something like that. yeah benn was a wolverine in there back when he fought barkley. then somewhere along the way he developed more patience like when he fought mcclelland and rode out the early storm to come back later in the fight. got another question for you wales, robin reid was once a world titlist. who took his belt? did calzaghe fight the young peak robin reid or the ridiculous court jester version that lacy smoked?

So here it is: It doesn't matter how many "British" records he beat or how many sheltered "British" champions he beat. The only notable american fighters that he fought were washed up and old. Being a UK native, you will never be able to undertsand that the boxing competition in your country is substandard and laughable. There is no other way to put it that does not sound offensive. But there it is. So Calzaghe can go down as an all time great in your country....but on this side of the ocean, he has only proven two things: jack and sh*t.
