My cousin laughed at me and dnied denied and denied when I told him that the HBO hype machine grabbed a hold of him through the 24/7 show that made him believe that Hatton actually had a chance against Pacquiao. Even after the fight was over and Ricky was still tryna find out where he was at my cousin still denied the fact that the b.s. 24/7 nonsense had any influence in his pick that night.
That show be hyping sh*t up so much I bet they can make people think that Hopkins can go up to heavyweight and take out the Klitchko's and a bunch of ya'll would eat it up too.

Everybody is talking about the winner of PBF vs JMM getting the next crack at Manny but am I the only one that really wants to see him fight Sugar Shane Mosley next. To me thats the most exciting fight for Manny because Floyd lost his spot when he retired and Mosley has been fighting the guys that Mayweather ducked. He fought Cotto when Cotto was undefeated and took him to the limit to lose a close one. Before we knew Margarito was a cheat and everybody was scared of him Mosley stepped in there and gave him a boxing lesson and knocked out the guy with granite chin. Manny and Mosley both bring speed and power and they will put on a good fight. So far these two have put on the best two fights of an action packed 2009 and Mosley should be at top the list to fight Manny. Mayweather should have to fight the winner of Clottey/Cotto

I thought he'd, at least, last until round 7 or 8. But, the SECOND round?! Either Pacquiao is that good or Hatton has been WAY over-sold; building a record by fighting "soft opponents" I suspect the truth is somewhere in the middle.
And why, pre-tell, did it take PBF (of whom I am a fan) 10 rounds, count-em, to do the same? Is Pacquiao 5 times better than Floyd? I don't think so.
As soon as I saw Roger "partnering" with his brother on behalf of Hatton, I KNEW a deal was underfoot. Floyd will win in his next outting, not by much...the tone of the fight will be attributed to "ring rust" which can't be true because Floyd hasn't stopped training for ONE day since his "retirement".
I love Manny but I'm sticking with my man - Floyd "The Truth" Mayweather. AKA " Pretty Boy Floyd".
As for Hatton....his next best bet is to arrange a fight with Zab Judah at 147. They're about the same caliber of fighter (although Zab has WAY more talent....his lack of discipline will make it an even fight).

I see alot of fans on here talking about Edwin Valero. As much as I would love to see him get into the mix I doubt it will happen. First of all he is only cleared to fight in the state of texas. I dont see marquez or even pacquiao willing to fight in texas. They are big time fighter who from now on will only fight in the premium venues for top dollar. And edwin valero isnt going to generate that much money in a fight because he is only known to the die hard boxing fans. In general most boxing fans only know of the big name fighter and wouldnt be interested in watching marquez or pacquaio fight valero.

This has been an exceptional year for boxing so far. We've had some great fights and more to come. I think the year will finish off strong with another Manny fight. Cotto could very well fight Clottey and maybe squeeze another fight in before the end of the year, unless he gets his ass handed to him!!! Mayweather and JMM could fight each other and again before the end of the year. You have Mosley, Paul Williams, you have a little hope that Haye KO's Wlad, we have Angulo vs Cintron, which I think will be better than anticipated. Pavlik could man up and fight Abhram, Froch has a big head right now so he'll go against a good contender, since Taylor made him believe he's great,
We even have Jones Jr vs Jeff Lacey. I know what you're thinking, but if 2 fighters are that bad, it makes for a good fight!!! It should at least be explosive. We have Bradley, who I think will bite off more than he can chew, which will probably challenge someone superior to him and witness his first lost!!! I could go on and on.
To wrap it up, this has been a good year and it's not over by a long shot!! So many possibilities, so many fighters!!! In the mist of all this, the HeavyWeight Division still sucks!! If you are, or once were, a fan of the HeavyWeight Division, you better hope Haye wins!! If not, we'll have 2 Brothers who will continue to drain the division!!!

I'm hyped about Mayweathers return
I'm hyped about Cotto vs Clottey(which I think is a fight thats seriously being slept on but which might turnout to be a fight of the year contender)
I'm semi-interested in Haye v Klitscho only because I want to see Klitscho lose, not that I don't like Wlad but really if Haye loses than what is there to look forward to in the Heavyweight division. Now if Haye wins then theres the possibility of a match between him and Vitali or rematch with Wlad but outside of those three why should I give a rats ass about the heavies. If gets KO'd early then there nothing to look forward to.
But honestly, this has been the best year in boxing in almost a decade. For the past five months I've been watching some of the best match ups that I could have ever dreamed of and theres still 7 months to go. I can honestly say that I've been more than sufficently entertained. The possibilites are endless to where this year could go. I just hope that the powers that be keep putting these fights together

Maybe I'm by myself on this 1, but I thought the Hearns vs Hagler fight was waay overrated-they fought wild and reckless. So damn that fight-I would love for this fight to mirror Castillo vs Corrales 1.

I've been wrong a couple of times-Taylor vs Pav 2, Diaz vs Marquez and Holt vs Bradly. So I'm the rainman huh? Alright- u made a funny-it was a lil funny-but I'm clowning ur ass and every1 else when Ricky wins. I'll laugh last and harder on 20090503
