That's a good synopsis of how Williams-Pavlik would end....he'd finish what Margarito is/was unable to do against the Punisher.

Indeed, and I'd favor Williams to beat Cotto and/or Margarito...ever so slightly. Problem is, Oscar will get that fight before him. He may have to settle for Andre Berto...who he'd beat rather easily in my opinion.

Williams liked the taste of defeat so much he's just dying to have another taste.

I'd rather see Williams fight the winner of Cotto/Margarito before moving up. He should go to 154 too before going up to get KOd by Pavlik at 160.

Very true I think it is because of that the most fighters now are trying to make a statement for themselves in his absence. first you got fighters like Juan Manuel Lopez coming in and shining against Daniel Ponce De Leon. Then you got Williams Making his statement against Quintana. Then Berto and Pacquiao giving back to back clinics although I think Diaz got fucked up a lot worse then Rodriguez.

You'll get no argument from me there. Even If Williams managed to bank most early rounds like he did against Margarito. He could easily get ahead on points. However Margarito started to walk him down later and I think the same would happen here but the outcome could be far worse...or the same. This year is on the the verge of setting a record for most upsets in a single year.

If you remember the Pavlik-Taylor fights, you'll remember Pavlik had problems everytime Taylor would throw punches in bunches. I think Pavlik would hvae problems aganist Williams, but I just don't think Williams has the pop to hold Pavlik off for twelve rounds.

If and only If he can keep a high percentage of punches does he have a shot. Lets not forget Pavlik throws alot of leather 2. I actually give Williams a shot against Taylor. Taylor is strong but not a high volume puncher. Because he takes so long waiting to land big shots not to mention he drops his left all the way down leaving him open for William's right hook. Williams with his high volume punches could simply have let Taylor corner himself like he did against Winky and then throw 10 or 12 punches and land them right on his eye. Pavlik is a different story. Williams has the reach and speed and is about as tall as Kelly but that is about it. I would rate him among the best fighters P4P if he managed to visibly beat Pavlik or even somehow KO him but I don't see it.

What about the ring side girls??
Since 1990's I remember HBO used to minimize the screen to show the corner and fighter while the beautiful models reminded us of what round it was. How many of you guys like to be reminded again?
