Is this the last we've seen of Mayweather on HBO?

Do you think we'll ever see Mayweather back on HBO programming if he does come out of retirement. It seems like there would be some strain going forward due to his lashing out about bias on the behalf of HBO's commentators. I think he needs to take it easy so he doesn't burn the wrong bridges. I don't know if I agree with him about them being biased but the announcers do show their favoritism no doubt about it.

The style that Cotto used did not surprise me, because good fighters will adapt. In Cotto's case he was very hurt and did the same thing he did against Mag, and ran a lot, throw punches 10 feet away from Mosley. That's not my point for as you admitted it was a close fight, Shane Mosley was the champ and yet he did not win any close rounds at all. This is always one sign that somethings wrong. My point is recently every African-American champion has been either jobbed or robbed of their championship.

Mayweather's legacy is not secure unless or until he beats Margarito.

Mayweather would have to be guaranteed 40 mil. But he would probably axe that deal to fight the world renowned Maussa for 41 mil.

Mayweather will be back.

A showdown with Margarito is inevitable.

yah i picked jones by decision...not by ko but jones just was out of this world in his prime...hagler was a straight up pressure fighter and did that as well as anyone...and a chin of granite.......imo it would be close but back then jones was indestructible...dont get me wrong hagler was too..but you add the speed and the impossible skills roy had ...that to me would give him the edge....

It says in their Primes. In his prime Roy was knocking almost everyone out. I think RJJ's style would have confused and overwhelmed Hagler because he would wear him self out from throwing all those punshes and missing. A tired fighter gets knocked out a lot easier than a fresh fighter.

The only thing that shocks me more than what I've read on this thread is the poll that was taken below it. Much different then I expected. Jones in a 12 round fight I would bet on by Decision. However 15 rounds is all Hagler. By Tko or KO. I can't imagine what would make someone think Jones could KO Hagler? Hagler was never even knocked down let alone out. I don't When had Hagler ever been KO'd? In fact Roy Jones Sr. Fought Haggler I believe and he was KO'd.

32y author why don?t you mention any Latino fighters.

My Grandmother was born in Cuba. I was speaking on the some of the today?s greatest champions being robbed of their championship.

I totally disagree with you on the mosley cotto fight....cotto won that fight hands down......no ifs or buts about it..i dont kno what fight you were
> watching.....sounds like a bias comment to me...as a

Watch the fight in slow mo' and perhaps you will understand. Shane Mosley hit him with so many flush right hands that I wondered how he held up, and the only blows that hurt are flush ones. Cotto is a good fighter, and he had some good moments in the fight, but in my opinion not enough. Shane Mosley did have to conserve his energy, which caused him a few rounds, but... The bottom line is that my beef is with those that renders poor discussions against champions no matter who's involved for I only want fairness, consist icy, and honesty.

Floyd's career does speak for itself. Thanks for clearing that up. And I wouldn't describe it as beastly by any means.

Roy Jones is my favorite fighter of all time , however I do feel Floyd is up there on the list as well. How can he be denied, all the thiongs he has done in the ring, and everyone still feels he is garbage, or scared, blah blah blah,. Floyd was a beast and if he comes back it is a good thing for boxing, amazing skill set the only one that had greater skill set is Roy Jones Jr. And it is not like floyd did not fight anyone look at his carreer, it speaks for itself.

32yauthor, good post-I didn't know about Bob's run in with the law, but they probably swept it under the rug. I think Cotto beat Mosely-but I do know some that think he lost also-the fight was close-so it wouldn't have been a robbery imo if Shane had won. Anyway, other than the Cotto vs Shane outcome-you did your thing-so K.I.M. bro
