> Maragarito has a good chance to beat him.

If Antonio is disciplined about preparing for this fight, shakes off the ring rust, comes into the fight in peak condition, and is able to land some bombs, he has a puncher's CHANCE to beat Cotto. A "good chance"? I don't think so...

Of course, I don't believe any of that will happen so I like Cotto by TKO in 8. Dude is hungry and loves to fight...

That's easy. He's a southpaw.

I've seen Cotto struggle with southpaws even now as a pro. There was a fight that he just BARELY escaped from. He's been completely out on his feet a number of times as a pro.

Maragarito has a good chance to beat him.

It's not discrediting the result, it was discrediting the performance. Montiel refused to fight him, just tried to wrap him up and force a poor TV program. That is not good.

I take these performances a bit personally (this and Raheem's stinker the month before and Ibragimov the month after) because these are GOOD matchups for BAD. Fighters get their shot they gotta perform because otherwise, HBO might think we need to stick with showcases where one of the fighters they love is pushed out for a mismatch.

BAD has the ability to be the best fight show out there, but there has to be good matches made, and the fighters have to hold up their end of the deal. Montiel did not.

I watched it, I didn't score it. But I think Herman Ngoudjo got jobbed. That's a shame to put in all the work that his performance encompassed, and loose an obviously bad decision. I think he earned the victory. I'm not a lip reader, but after the decision I'm pretty sure the words Castillo whispered to Ngoudjo were, "I'm sorry". That was hard to miss.
