The reason I ask this question is because since day one with the Pacquiao De La Hoya fight people have been complaining about the big size difference, there's a post on the boards to boycott the fight, the Pavlik Hopkins fight showed what a weight/size difference can do to a great fighter who is smaller, and even on yahoo there's an article about Pacquiao entitled Wake up-call. Do you think Manny can handle this or is it a big mistake?

DLH/Pacquiao winner take on Hatton. I don't know about you guys but I'll rather watch Pacquiao/Hatton get it on. I think it would be a better action fight, than a DLH/Hatton bout. -- ShowDaBoxing

This might sound cold, but not 1 little bit. No one forces him to go into the ring, and he makes a heck of a good living doing it. In short -I care about as much as he caes about mine.

He'll circle around backwards and Oscar will cut him off and left hook him or just shoot him down with righthand leads depending on which way he "darts". > attempting to gain the > angle on DeLaHoya. It's just a guy putting on weight so he can get beat up for a payday. He'll not steer clear of damage......a car wreck. He'll be outmuscled and wore down.....Like your best post on this, in effect, said.

Catch-all Johnson? I actually think Pacquiao will dart backward and side-to-side in this upcoming fight more than he's ever shown, attempting to gain the angle on DeLaHoya. He'll be looking to throw his right hook more than ever also because of the way DeLaHoya holds his left hand forward and leaves the side of his head open for it. I just don't think Pacquiao can take many of DeLaHoya's flush shots however, as the size and power gap is naturally too great.

PacMan, as Toe2Toe puts it, squares up and doesn't like to back up. Oscar, as I put it, is structurally bigger and it's Pacquiao who is likely to tire if Oscar decides he has to lean on him. Another Ketchel / Johnson here, imo.

Gunner and Tsunami, Methinks it's actually gonna be a combination of both tactics that y'all describe...Oscar using his left hand (power) jab to cut off the ring, keep Manny at bay in an attempt to walk him down and stop him w/in 6. We'll see if it happens...in all likelihood, I will NOT be watching until the HBO replay. -- http://www.fightinsight.com/2008/11/17/hatton-will-chase-down-malignaggi-over-twelve/

I think DeLaHoya for the most part will attempt to keep the fight at long range and use his jab and right hand. If Pacquiao seeks to come inside, DeLaHoya will be looking to land the big left hook to end it. If and when Pacquiao dips low to go to DeLaHoya's body, I expect DeLaHoya to look to throw uppercuts, because Nacho Beristain stresses that punch so much to his pupils. Simply put, this is DeLaHoya' fight to lose. You're the second person who said that. Oscar don't fight that way. The time he tried it with Trinidad he lost. He's going for the KO. He said so many times in the interviews and 24/7. He needs the KO to redeem himself that's why he's fighting such a smaller guy.
