After this weekend's fights where there were very dominant performances by Williams who redeemed his only career loss and Pavlik who remained dominant. Do you feel these two fighters are close to being the best fighters pound for pound or improved their rankings?

The top three fighters in the world not named Floyd Mayweather are now (in order of rank): 1. Manny Pacquiao 2. Juan Manuel Marquez 3. williams is a very good fighter with really bad managment. i dont think that paul is special defensively or by any means a great boxer. he doesnt really box all that much. but hes gifted athletecially, and determined. he fights hungry and that will make him relevant for a few years. in terms of Pound for Pound definetly not. when you match him to names that have been champions for years, fighting other good fighters he doesnt even come close. he aint no JMM or truth be told Cotto. just cause he barely beat Margarito doesnt make him better. as Foresst proved to mora and williams to quintana bad nights happen. as for pavlik we will see how he fares against an intelligent big man this month. other than that i say hell no to him as well. two defenses one coming in way to close doesnt make him P4P. hes an awesome fighter too watch but thats about it, FOR NOW! to be P4P you cant just base your career on commentators and KAyo highlight reels, you really need to do somethign special. Look at Calderon he cant crack an egg with his fists but he wins so beautifully against tough opponenets. look at cotto he never shies away from battle and holds titles within two weight divisions beating various undefeated fighters. who happen to be champions. of course Paquio, JMM, i would even say Juan Diaz too

U heard it here today, the slick duck and dodge act of ?? Ah,I forgot his name...LOL Just dissin M.....F.....oop's he will get stopped or knocked OUT for the first time in hiz life. I know Pavlik shoulda, woulda and did it.Hopkins should retire and stop taking chances at stealing Big Bucks in the ring.Well he can't do that after he retires or he'll go to Jail....LOL again.Well enough said!!!

Forrest would be a good fight for him at 154. If I was him I'd go after it for a couple reasons. Margarito failed at 154. If Williams can pull it off not only does it make a statement of where he is as a fighter it also says to Margarito its time to put up or shut up. If he could beat Santos. Wow. The payday against a rematch with Margarito would be huge.

If he can KO Margarito there is no one else left. He has no choice but to move up. Right now he could easily win a title at Jr MW. That would raise his stock immensely. He should take a shot at Margarito if he can get it but he doesn't need it. He already climbed that mountain. He needs to look forward. Why not Forrest?

Not sure about that. He will be in the Top 10 but at 6'1 seemingly 6'2 1/2 he will be expected to win at 147. If he can move from 147-160 winning belts and beating Champs(not title holders) then yeah he may just get to the top of the heap. Right now all the Champs at WW are title holders. And there's not as much to do there as you think. He's got maybe one or two guys there. I don't think Cotto would be one of them. Margarito, maybe Mosley if he can still get to 147. Cintron? Forget it. Berto would be a walk in the park. He don't have to do much at a to be the man. I actually think winning a belt at 154 would move him closer. He would have to have a dominating performance against Margarito before he could move in the top 3 imo.

I would like to see PWill stay at WW for right now, it's the hottest div in the sport and if he can beat the TOP WW he will definitely be considered the TOP P4P fighter.

williams fought @ 160 and k.o'd the guy in the first. Arreola also won by ko in the third. williams should fight pavlik next year. or marg @ 154. i think williams can be the future p4p king. i know cotto wont get it on with him. williams said he'll take anyone on from 147 to 160. thats what i like to hear I like a fighter with confidence too. I don't think he'll be ready for Pavlik by next year. He should fight Jermain first to see where he stands in the division. Or maybe Winky.
