Which fighters need to take bigger challenges to earn your respect?

Some fighters always seem to be taking the easy route and others can't get a break no matter what they try. Which fighters haven't won you over as fans because you don't think they face enough quality fighters?

Yup, welterweight range is from 141 to 147 and you can fight in that division in any of that depends on official catch weight based on the contract but you can come to actual fight night whatever you can gain in 24 hours.

Well after Mayweathers last fight it was clear that he is afraid to fight Mosley. Hopkins and Mosley punked Mayweather. Pacman will beat Mayweather down like he stole something.

Maybe Welter Weight is up to 147lbs limit, but it doesnt have to be fought at 147lbs if your a Manny Pacquiao who have started as a PRO as 106lbs. Well unless your a Floyd Mayweather Jr fan who have given f*ckin credits to FLOYD as a Welter by fighting a 135lbs fighter at 147lbs. Well fans can forget it, Floyd will come in at Weigh in as 147lbs even if have a deal to fight at 143lbs...

Hey Eric, why are you soooo interested in Mayweather losing his "0". Calzaeky kept his "0" and only fought all the older fighters (Hopkin and Jones when they were on their way out) and then retired. He had numerous opportunities to fight these guys and many others when they were at their prime. But he chose to stay overseas and pad his resume. Marciano kept his "0". So what is the real deal? Just because Floyd talks a lot of trash, which on many occasions I disagree with, isn't a reason for anyone to disrespect his true skills. He just don't like to get hit or hurt. That is why his defense is sooo great. But I do understand that getting hit or hurt goes with the turf. He is and never was a brawling kind of fighter, but much more of a technician. Don't get me wrong, I love a good brawling fight, but as you know, these types of fights really has an adverse effect on boxers and fighters over time. Coto has been hit many times as he has fought tough stiff competition and won (my hat goes off to this great warrior). And now, to be honest he has really burned his self out at 29 years old and probably will never be the same. I really like what Floyd said at one time, "boxing will not retire me, but I will retire from boxing". I truly love this sport being a X boxer, but I truly don't like when they suffer later in life from injuries. The Coto Pac-Man fight should have been stop at the 8th or 9th round to keep Coto healthy and fight well another day. As I said in my previous post, I like Migal, Pac-Man, and Floyd. So,,,, Lets all get together as fight fans and help promote the Pac- Man/Floyd fight that should answer all our questions.

True, but I'm willing to bet Mayweather, Pac-man would probably be at a catch weight of 145. I favor Manny to win aganist Mayweather, but I believe it's a win-win situation for all boxing fans... Fights like this only come around once every 2 decades! $$$

I agree with you Russbailey. It's not right how all the boxers are in fact ducking Williams. He will fight Martinez Dec the 5th and will beat him down as well in my opinion. Mainly because of his raw ability. I am sure that sooner or later, someone will fugure out how to beat him. As we all know, his one loss was a fluck, and Paul having a training issue at that time. How does a boxer keep his skills up if no one want to fight him? Now you have a lot of folks somewhat upset at Paul because of his wins over Margarito and Wright. He should have had at least 3 good challenges by now. Everyone talks about Mayweather ducking everybody, but I only read a selected few discussing the fighters who are ducking Williams on these forums. I keep hearing about who is ducking who, but no one will copy and paste any facts that we all can read. I like Coto, Pac-Man, and Floyd because they all bring something different to the table for our enjoyment. I have followed their careers over the past 12 years. As been said many times, styles makes fights.

I think it is sad that what I consider to be the best and most difficult fight for Mayweather or Pacman will probably never happen, because I don't see anyone who is willing to fight Paul Williams. This man is a beast and I don't think that Pac or Mayweather can win against him. I would have to see one of them defeat him with my own eyes.
Anyone who has done there homework and has seen how Williams lays the beatdown on his opponents would agree with what I am saying. Everyone is ducking Williams after they saw the beat down he put on Winky Wright, and all of his other opponents.

Why wouldn't Pac fight Mayweather at 147? I mean, he is the WBO welterweight champion. Last I checked, the welterweight limit was 147.

Or, Mayweather is laying the groundwork to make Mayweather's win over Pac look better than it actually will be. Truth is, if Money beats Pac easily, it will be said that he was too big. Putting out there that Pac is on roids or some type of superman kills that excuse in his mind.

I said months ago that Cotto was a BUM!!and the only way he had a chance was the body shots? Pac-girl can take a punch so what. JJM could take a punch to and you see how Money took him apart?
You HATERS just don't get i!!
Money beats the Pac-girl because he's better more technical and faster, better foot work. Pac-girl has never seen a fighter like Money! Where Money has fought guys like Pac-girl (JJM) and still has not lost!!
If you look at the fight really look and stop giving your opinions. You will see that Cotto had no movement (except when hurt) his hands were down a lot and he has no chin!!!! No jab, No counter punching skills, No since of ring awareness (on the ropes or in the center of ring) A BUM!!!!
I called it just look at my post in the past and you'll see that I called him a BUM before the (slow old man) mosley fight?
The HATERS are at work I see the post. They are already laying the ground work for an excuse when Money beats Pac-girl. I wonder what the excuse will be than? :-p

Face the truth before it come to light and makes you all look like a bunch of NUTS!!!! No fighter in Money's class will say he's a BUM?? THE GREATEST FIGHTER OF OUR TIME!!!!!!!

Do you think Pacquiao is on steroids?
Watching Pacquiao carry his power to the higher weight classes has me wondering is he is juicing. Being a personal trainer I know that it is very difficult to move up in weight and stay ripped. The Phillipines and Indosia are two of the biggest markets for steroids.
