We're just about midway through 2008. What are your picks for the top fights of the year so far? Any rematches you'd like to see? Any bouts you'd like to see get put in the works based on fighting performance? -- ~Susan

I thought Casamayor-Katsidis was rather sloppy. I nominate Vazquez-Marquez III for its quality, drama and competitiveness.

Casamayor vs Katsidisas the best so far. It had the perfect ending!

I hope they are fighting that would be a good fight. It would also place guzman in a good position to challenge pac-man; that is if guzman wins. these are the divisions that don't play. People get it on. I like it. thanks for the info. do you know when they fight? anyway there are a lot of other diaz that are out there for pac-man. lol: Julio, juan. but he desrves a break. if he takes the rest of the yr off, good for him. -- I came I saw and I conquered

Anyway I would much rather see Pac fight the Casamayor-Marquez winner. You think they'll be ready for another fight by years end after fighting in September?

All the other top lightweights have fights scheduled as well as Hatton. I think it might be a pretty boring rest of the year for the Pacman.

he should fight casamayor first. casamayor is the top LW right now. Diaz is the minor champ of the 3 champs there. if he just bypasses casamayor the ducking-hawks will come out to cry fowl. or is it foul? i would be suspect if he skipped casamayor. casamayor is a stylistic problem for pacquiao, as he is for anyone. hatton is a brawler. if hatton can't wait, he should come down and fight campbell, who isn't fighting anyone at the moment as casamayor is fighting marquez: signed and sealed. otherwise they should fight in a few years, maybe two or four years when manny naturally puts on weight as most people do in their 30's. a hatton fight right now is not the best route to take. some of those Lww walk around weights go up as high as mw and Smw. Pacquiao's walk around weight is not that high. -- I came I saw and I conquered

Manny Pacquaio should defeat David Diaz this evening by convincing decision, setting up what should be the eventual fight of 2008; Pacquaio vs. Ricky Hatton for the world 140lb championship. Manny is looking to become a five division champion and Hatton would welcome the challenge of the smaller, well known brawler. Hatton vs. Pacquaio will be something else.
