WBA welterweight champion ?Sugar? Shane Mosley announced today that he is prepared to fight at 140 pounds if a bout for Manny Pacquiao?s IBO junior welterweight championship can be arranged. ?There is unfinished business to take care of. I have never fought at junior welterweight, but I?m ready to fight at 140 now. I am coming after Pacquiao?s belt. This is the fight the fans want and I?m prepared to give it to them. It?s up to Bob Arum and Manny Pacquiao to stop running from me and step up to the challenge. Let?s meet in the ring at 140. I want to reclaim the title of best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. First Pacquiao, then Mayweather?I?m ready to put all of the naysayers to rest.? Pacquiao is expected to next face Miguel Cotto in November, while Mayweather has a September date with Mosley?s Golden Boy stablemate Juan Manuel Marquez.

As we have seen with the Mayweather Reality TV Show/Sagas, it should have little to no impact on Cotto's career. What will have an impact, is the punches he keeps taking and blood that he keeps losing in these wars. One night, he's gonna hit the gas pedal and he's gonna be on "E."

A lawsuit by Evangelista Cotto, trainer and uncle of Miguel Angel Cotto, for an amount of 7.5mil dollars was filed yesterday, in Puerto Rico's civil court. The lawsuit charged Miguel Cotto, with a bridge of contract and other compensations persued by his uncle, Evangelista Cotto.

Cotto fired his uncle back in April, where both were at each other, over a dispute. They had to be separated at a gym and the fight was carried over outside, whereby Evangelista followed Cotto and threw a brick at his car window.

The strife between uncle and nephew doesn't seem to go away. It's ashame that these things occur between family members.

What impact will it have in Cotto's career?

Berto/Collazo is one matchup, that I'm intrigue to watch. The first fight was close; however Berto deserved the win. He step it up in the championship rds.

Both fighters stand to gain in a rematch. A Collazo win, will put him in the mix. A Berto win will erase any doubt, that he's ready for the big stage and take on the elite.

WBC has granted an extension date of August 13th to the parties of WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto (25-0,19 KOs) and former WBA welterweight champion Luis Collazo (30-4,15 KOs). The purse bid was to have been scheduled for today, July 17th, at the WBC offices in Mexico City. Berto narrowly defeated Collazo by decision in their bout this past January. Each fighter has had one fight since then. Berto easily decisioned Juan Urango in May, while Collazo, to keep busy, stopped journeyman David Gogichaishvili in June.

These guys bug me too with their PPV percentage
negotiation drama mannmann but It'll probably
wind up at 50/50 anyway. We wouldn't even
know of all this crap if we weren't logging into
here anyway.

The catch-weight drama I could live without though.
If they want the prestige of beating people in heavier
weight divisions then do it like Armstrong did it and
just fight over your weight instead of looking for
fighters desperate enough for a payday to be
willing to dehydrate to weigh in.

PBF is gettn on my damn nerves now-I mean damn-take the freakn 50/50 split if he beats JMM. Pacquaio has been in 3 big fights since Floyd retired-I mean every1 and their mom knows Floyds last couple of opponents had more drawn power. Floyd changed his name & it fits him perfect cause thats all he cares about.

I can't believe how every 1 is sleepn on JMM-this shit is crazy-how the hell can every1 sleep on JMM but give Pac good chance of beatn Floyd-I don get it. I really think JMM has a good chance of beatn Floyd-Floyd has never faced anyone like JMM-plus I hear their fightn @ 143lbs.

July has been a brutal month on the entertainment and sports world...we're getting old ladies and gentlemen. But the made-for-TV surroundings of McNair's, Arguello's and now Gatti's deaths are even more troubling. Somber day indeed.

Arturo Gatti found dead!

Legendary former world champion Arturo Gatti, 37, has reportedly been found dead inside a beachside flat he was renting at the Hotel Dorisol of Porto de Galinhas, Pernambuco, Brazil. He was found by his wife early Saturday with a head injury. Gatti had arrived with his wife and baby on Friday on their honeymoon. Local police consider his death suspicious.

I tell ya, boxing needs some kinda of pension and/or national/global federation to facilitate such a thing. And yes indeed, he drunked Mayweather out.

I saw the fight mannmann. In my opinion, that needed to be his last middleweight fight. He did his thing, but you can twll in his last two fights that making the weight is getting to him. In my opinion, he's probably KO'd by Pavlik if he fights him at 160. He needs to go ahead and make the move to super middle, because he could very well lose to one of these mandatories because of weight drain.

That sucks.
He Knocked Roger Mayweather dizzier than
Chavez did in their first fight.

Do you think Pacquiao is on steroids?
Watching Pacquiao carry his power to the higher weight classes has me wondering is he is juicing. Being a personal trainer I know that it is very difficult to move up in weight and stay ripped. The Phillipines and Indosia are two of the biggest markets for steroids.
