I was reading an article on yahoo about Hatton being ready to drop his fight against Malignaggi to fight against Pacquiao. Hatton's camp denies the rumor and says it won't happen this year. I personally would rather see Hatton vs Pacquiao because of how explosive both fighters are.

It's gonna be another bloody sports if Pacman-Hatton happen. I can compare that bout with Pacquiao-Larios encounter. But taking Mayweather Sr. as his trainer is the smartest move he's ever done because I know Ricky has a heart but not much enough head. Hatton was overhyped before he fought Floyd and he's moreso now. He reminds me a lot of Mancini. Mancini was highly regarded until he started fighting guys with actual skills then he was exposed. Expect Hatton to do the same. If he can get anyone decent to fight him after he loses again that is. -- How come we choose from just two people to run for president and over fifty for Miss America ?

Malignaggi will bring his "A" game for this, but I have to admit, I don't think it will be good enough to beat Ricky Hatton. I agree with what you say manmann, Hatton's resume is far superior, but try telling that to the haters ...... Malignaggi deserves respect, as does Hatton. I think it should be a good fight, not the boring fight many predict.

Hattons all right in my book, before his lost, people on this site weren't talking the way they are now, but people will turn on you faster than pitbulls. Anyway, the only thing I like about Malignaggi is his interviews, other than that he runs around the ring-I mean he actually runs, he can't punch in any weight class/comes in the ring with extentions and I hear no bad mouthing. His last two fights were contraversial as hell and still no bad mouthing. He runs, can't punch, wears extentions and two of his last fights against B type fighters were disputed. Hatton lost one fight, say what you want but Hatton's resume is alot better than Malignaggi's. Only name that really comes to mind on his record is Cotto and he looked like a garbage pale kid by the 12th. I don't think Malinaggi is that good of a boxer, he's tough, I'll give em that but Hatton will either stop him or win big.

>Hatton wants to challenge the winner of the De La Hoya-Manny Pacquiao fight on Dec. 6, while a rematch with Mayweather Jr. is also on the horizon. Hatton is delusional. Of all the fighters on the list to fight the winner of that fight he's not even close to being at the top. If Paulie kicks his ass it'll never happen.

I would rather not see Hatton at all! I hope Malignaggi out-boxes him and sends him into retirement. It's amazing to me how much credit this guy has gotten for being a great fighter and an action fighter. As far as fighting tactics and strategey, I compare him to John Ruiz. Ruiz jabs and holds, Hatton holds, holds, holds, and then tries combinations. Get that shit outa here. He shoulda been a mixed martial artists.

Hatton wants to challenge the winner of the De La Hoya-Manny Pacquiao fight on Dec. 6, while a rematch with Mayweather Jr. is also on the horizon. ?I?d like to fight Floyd Jr. again,? Hatton said. ?I think he?ll come out of retirement after the De La Hoya-Pacquiao fight. Floyd is all about controversy and he?ll want to come out and do it.?
