I was reading an article from Ring Magazine where Malignaggi feels like he's being set up to lose this fight because of all the concessions he's having to make. Which fighter do you think will take this?

My husband & I had a friendly bet going. I was for Diaz & he was for Malignaggi. He is the boxing expert. At the end of the fight, I honestly thoughy Malignaggi won the fight. This fight was misjudged. Did the judges have blinders on???? It's amazing how the Golden Boys corner won the fight & I like Oscar....but come on! Who wants to watch a fight that has not been judged fairly!!!! Shame on you judges.

And boxing wonders why their fans are going over to MMA. This is the worst decision in boxing I have ever seen in my life and I thought the Cotto Clottey decision was bad... are you kidding me. I don't even like Malignaggi and I've never felt so bad for a fighter in my life. HBO and Golden Boy has ruined boxing and it makes me F****** sick, these judges should be banned from boxing.

I was saying the same thing. Like so what they fixed the fight. Is he really going to go fight Mayweather or pacquiao or Cotto, or who? He can't beat any of these people. The way Cotto destroyed Malinaggi, how could you expect diaz to do anything.... Its just stupid. I guess maybe the golden boy can pull out one more payday off of Diaz before they move on.

They need to clean up boxing. You wonder why no one watches it anymore. It is not that there are not anybody any good. The reason you can lose but really should of won. Malignaggi won this fight. Diaz should be ashamed to be called the champ. I guess now adays if you know the right people that is all it takes. This shows me it is more about marketing then who is the better fighter. I do not condone what maignaggi was wearing or saying. Simply because he set him self back with these comments. He should be the champ. This is what is destroying boxing. The sad part is it may not ever change. They need someone that has some caones and put a stop to this. It is detiorating boxing. I love boxing and watched sense I was a kid. The thing is people get robbed to often.

This was ridiculous!
Both the judges and the ref were on the pay roll. The first round the ref is asking the judges if they saw a head butt which isn't allowed. Then the second cut, all of a sudden it is a head butt between rounds. Notice how there was never any replay to show that butt? And how about the ref pulling on Malinaggi's arms when they were tangled up. I have never seen this you either break them up or let them fight it out. You don't keep pulling one guys arms. Especially since a couple times he was hit right in the spot where his arm was pulled away. And then the judging... don't even get me started. Boxing is one of the reasons I get the premium channels, but after this and the nate campbell-tim bradley fight (on showtime) I am getting quite fed up with boxing.
And Max who is usually reasonably fair is talking something about 'the market'. So who is popular deserves to win fights? Maybe Max was mad because Malinaggi said boxing is bullshit, but it doesn't help to fire back that you deserve to lose because people dont like you (I also like how he said we scored it 7-5 and didn't say to who).
What crap.

I sorta agree except with the MMA part. Most guys taken off the street end up like Hatton or Mayorga. Don't believe me? Ask Kimbo Slice  . But yeah This was the saddest decision so far this year.

Now I know why Showtime is becoming the better network for fights - this is becoming an increasing problem with these HBO fights - absolutely horrible decsions. Keep it up and you might as well just not broadcast any more boxing because you're whole audience will be watching Showtime or MMA.

Diaz proved once again that Cuts define him as a fighter. Judges proved once again that money talks lol I mean 115-113 Diaz I could see. 116-112 is pushing it. 118-110=WTF,ROFLMAO @ this Bullshit. actually gave Paulie 7 rounds of 12. Diaz simply can't overcome adversities even if facing a weakly fighter like Paulie.

I am absolutely appalled at the decision I just saw after this fight tonight. You have GOT to be kidding me. Completely disgraceful!
First off, I am not a Malinaggi fan. After that hair braid fiasco I lost alot of respect for the guy. But tonights fight was his! What's right is right and he without a doubt beat Diaz. Shame on you Golden Boy - I hope you dudes made a lot of money tonight.
I feel really bad for Paulie. He gave Diaz a lesson in BOXING. Not fighting, but BOXING. Diaz was content to come in straight, not cut the ring off, not slow Paulie with body work, and he was peppered all night with jabs. How can this be? I am so disappointed in HBO, Golden Boy, and the Texas fight commision. You guys STINK! What a total robbery!
118-110?? WTF!?? What fight are you watching! Your license should be revoked! SHAME ON YOU!

I 100% believe that at best, Diaz deserved a draw. No more.
Paulie very arguably won the fight. Stick and move! Looked great. Shut the Baby Bull down.
One judge had it 118-110 Diaz? Horrible.
It's no wonder the UFC is taking over from us...
Absolutely horrible.
I'm a De La Hoya fan, but from an unbiased standpoint this was an excessively unfair decision.

As malignaggi said - he was expecting a hometown decision and he got one. Way to go HBO - way to allow these clowns to keep robbing fighters of their due.

Hopefully we'll be pleasantly surprised tonight.
I'll bet you many of the people that say this will be a shit fight will tune in for one reason or another. Most popular reason: we don't have to pay PPV money to view it.
Diaz should win, obviously.
Hoping for a stoppage of some sort; no decision please!
I kinda like Smith in the opener, but Jacobs is on the rise.
