If Pacquiao happens to lose to Cotto

Do you think a Pacquiao loss will hurt boxing? I was just thinking that it would probably be a negative in the sport. If you look at how much attention his fight against De La Hoya and Hatton brought and how Pacquiao is looked at as the P4P best right now. A loss to Cotto might derail the momentum created in the sport. I could be wrong but I'd like to know what the board thinks.

They've been comparing him to Bruce Lee ever since he started making action movies in the philipines.

Damn dude, you said Cotto doesn't have any heart-maybe cause he was out there fighting his heart out. He became overwelmed and shit happens. Pacquiao can fight his ass off-damn even Bob Arum is biting my shit.

I said way back when that Pacquiao reminds me of Bruce Lee, now a friend of mine said it and here come's Bob Arum sayn it and I'm pretty sure the rest of u will say it also. With that being said-I'm pulln for Mayweather to get him-damn I can't wait for this fight. Oh yeah-the fight did over 2 million ppv buys

On another note-4man can box pretty well-that was my 1st time seeing him fight and he's a pure boxer. Anyone thats seem Santos fight has seen him fight much better than that. I think it's about time Don King retired cause all his fighters are publicly complaining that their not getting enough fights.

Nate Campbell is damn near 40 and he's sittn on the side lines-the guy wants to fight and can't get a fight. Santos was a freakn champion 4 cryn out loud and was inactive for over 16 mths and thats crazy. He looked off balance and rusty all night.

A mandingo, I give Manny all the credit in the world!!! I will be rooting for him against Mayweather. He's a hell of a fighter. Cotto on the other hand, just showed me he was damaged goods from Margarito!!!

Yeah, I see a lot of people talking out their arses around here.

Cotto was tough as hell. He did not appear to be a shell of his former self, just the opposite. He has fought well in both of his last two fights.

He was just in with very good fighters. Pacquiao is just better than Cotto. It should have been apparent to anyone who considers himself a boxing afficionado.

I did not expect Cotto to do so well, and I did not expect Manny to just stand and trade like he did. He could have lost the fight that way. He is the best fighter of our generation, just like Tyson and RJJ were in the 80's and 90's.

Mayweather is very talented, but just look at what Pacman did to De Lahoya and that FUGLY albino from across the sea. Mayweather played it safe and avoided as much contact as possible. Pacman DESTROYED those guys.

You dont sound brilliant, your sounding like a loser trying to make excuses. Cotto is still elite fighter and he looked like he doesnt because Manny made him look like that.

Some in boxing, including Roach, thought Cotto had been slowed by his devastating loss last year to Antonio Margarito and would be further slowed by having to come in 2 pounds lower than his normal weight.

That wasn't the case early in the fight, with Cotto winning the first round and fighting well. Once he was knocked down by a big left hand late in the fourth round, though, he slowed noticeably.

Loser BENJAMIN SUCK MY COCK! i got the last laugh a--shoole =)

Watching the fight Saturday night...I realized something. 1...Manny is better than I thought he was.2...Cotto is no longer an elite fighter.3...Margarito should be banned for life!!! I'm not taking anything from Manny. He fought like a man on a mission!! Cotto on the otherhand was a shell of himself. I remember when Cotto got rocked and came back with flying fist of his own! Eric Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez, David Diaz, Ricky Hatton and Oscar De La Hoya have one common message to Miguel Cotto - Welcome to the club!

???

Did you even watch his last 4 fights?

He had a very specific strategy and completely different game plan for each of those fights. You might want to try watching them again and try paying more attention. ;)

---fyi--- See what Roach has to say...

What a phenomenal fight!

Pacman crushed him, but he was also in more danger than he has ever been in a fight before.

Was that his gameplan, or was Cotto simply tougher than they planned for?

Thier game plan for the prior 3 fights was impeccable. Every time he stood and traded with Cotto, which he did more often than I think was wise I thought this cannot be how they planned on fighting this guy.

It worked out, but it seemed much less of a thought out game plan than he has been using in the past few fights.

Pacman is the greatest freaking fighter of our generation period. Being a Mexican American I have followed boxing for years and I have to congratulate a well rounded fighter. I have always rooted for all the great Mexican fighters that have fought Pacman but have always came up come up short. This man is the Mexican, Puertorican, and Brithish killer! This man has fought the best starting with Barrera, Morales, Marquez, De La Hoya, Hatton, and now Cotto. Not to mention the other under rated boxer like Solis, Larios, and Diaz. To me Mayweather is a piece of Caca! Mayweather has never been part of a true war. He has never entertained me at all! Mayweather is simply an overated arrogant ghetto prick!

Who's next for Pacman?...who else..but the CHICKEN FLOYD GAYWEATHER.....if he is man enough not to run away in the ring and fight Manny...toe to toe.... Pacman should get a higher purse.. 55-45 ... otherwise,..forget it... Pacman has proven enough greatness in his boxing career....if Floyd is saying he's got all the advantage against the Pacman..then prove it...so, he can also taste the speed and power punches of the Pacman....

Do you think Pacquiao is on steroids?
Watching Pacquiao carry his power to the higher weight classes has me wondering is he is juicing. Being a personal trainer I know that it is very difficult to move up in weight and stay ripped. The Phillipines and Indosia are two of the biggest markets for steroids.
